The new multi-tab editor doesn't make sense when you switch back to a previous tab because it doesn't draw the view that that tab generated. One has to hit F5 to make the view match the tab each time you switch tabs. That is tedious and can be time consuming if the preview takes significant time.
It would be much better if the view was saved in an off screen buffer and restored. If that is not

My printer displays the Z height. Cura displays the layer number. When editing Gcode it would be nice to have the Z height displayed along with the Layer number in the little text box at the top of the preview slider. It would also be nice if the layer number in Cura was the same as the layer number in the Gcode file that Cura generates. Right now Gcode layers start at "0" and Cura layers star
It would be helpful to document the minimum version(s) of Mac OS X / macOS that are supported by the binaries/source.
It seems that for v1.0.0-beta.6 binaries the minimum Mac OS X version is 10.10 (which I guess is driven by the use of Qt 5.9).

It would be nice if OctoPrint printers would show up in the new Cura 4.1 "Add a neworked printer" dialog that appears when you open the app for the first time:
If Cura detects an OctoPrint printer, it would ideally suggest to download the OctoPrint plugin.

5mm padding is not always ideal, or even desired. Allow padding to be specified when launching the application, defaulting to 5mm.
