Free accounts are great for open source projects, but if you need private repositories for private projects, you can upgrade to a paid account.
- In the top right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Settings.
In your user settings sidebar, click Billing.
By default, paid plans are charged monthly. If you'd rather be billed yearly, follow these directions before upgrading to a paid account.
In the Billing overview section, click Change plan.
Next to the plan you want, click Upgrade.
Type your credit card information.
Click Process payment to finish upgrading your account.
