If Neal admitted to...
(I'll put this behind a cut to give folks the chance to avoid season 3 spoilers.)
So, I'm writing this story, and I'm still trying to figure out where to go with it in the grand scheme of things. And I've been mulling different scenarios over in my head, and now I have a question.
If Neal admitted to having been aware of where the treasure was all this time, what could or would he be charged with? Aiding and abetting? Obstruction of justice? All of the above and more? Say Peter tried to get him minimum punishment, could he still be kept on the outside with the anklet, just maybe prolong that sentence? Or have more restrictions, like a shorter radius and/or a curfew? I'm sure there's no right or wrong answer, but a likely scenario would be good to work with.
I don't have any of the details worked out, but I'm thinking that since Mozzie is long gone with the treasure, Neal would put the cards on the table and implicate him. I know that's kind of a shitty move on Neal's part, but I don't really see how this could go any other way. If anyone has an idea how to pin this on someone else (Keller?), feel free to suggest it. I just don't want something harebrained or totally unrealistic. And I don't really wanna touch on the issue of how they managed to get Elizabeth back safe and sound, but if anyone has a likely scenario at hand for that, I'll take it. :-)
