These Certified by Uxcel Terms and Conditions ("Certification Terms") govern the certification exams and "Certified by Uxcel" credentials offered by Uxcel, Inc. ("Uxcel," "we," "our" or "us"). These Certification Terms supplement, and are incorporated into, Uxcel's Terms of Service (the "TOS") and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the TOS. In the event of a conflict between these Certification Terms and the TOS with respect to the certification program specifically, these Certification Terms control. All matters of governing law, dispute resolution, and venue are governed by the TOS.
Certification credentials are offered across three tiers — Foundational, Professional, and Speciality. "Professional" refers to one specific tier and not to the program as a whole; the umbrella program and brand is "Certified by Uxcel" (for example, UX Practitioner, Certified by Uxcel).
We retain records of your certification exam attempts so that we can award "Certified by Uxcel" credentials and validate your eligibility for advancement through certification tiers. Unless you request deletion, this information will be retained indefinitely. If you want to delete your records, please contact us at [email protected]. To learn more about data handling procedures, refer to Uxcel's Privacy Policy.
To protect your privacy, we do not share your certification exam results with anyone else but you. Your exam results are emailed to you and recorded in your Uxcel account. Uxcel experts and employees have access to certification exam information, including your results, to assist you with any technical problems or questions about your "Certified by Uxcel" credentials you might have.
Users who earn a "Certified by Uxcel" credential will receive a publicly visible certification badge and credentials on their public profile. The credentials include each individual's name, country, and the certification tier and type earned. Log in to your profile at https://app.uxcel.com/login/ or contact us at [email protected] if you want to update your name or country.
Each certification exam is a paid product purchased per certification. Certification access is not included with any Pro or Teams subscription. Active Pro and Teams members receive a 30% discount, applied automatically at checkout.
Payment and refunds are otherwise governed by Section 5 of the TOS. If an issue occurs with an exam due to a technical fault on Uxcel's end (and it can be demonstrated), send a request to [email protected].
Each certification is valid for three (3) years from its issue date, after which it must be renewed to remain active. To renew, you must retake and pass the certification exam. Renewal is a paid re-sit charged at 50% of the price of the exam you previously took.
You have one attempt per exam purchase, across all tiers. If you do not pass, you may retake the exam immediately, with no waiting period. A retake is charged at 50% of the price of the exam you previously took. There is no free additional attempt.
Certification exams are designed by Uxcel experts to validate a candidate's knowledge required for a specific role and tier. To ensure fairness and equal opportunities, all certification program participants are required to comply with the Code of Conduct. When taking a certification exam, I am committed to:
Answers to exam questions are not revealed to anyone, even after the exam has been completed. While the information might be helpful to those interested in learning more about certification exams, we must maintain the integrity of certification exams and ensure fair and equal access to accurate exam tools. Hence, we limit the distribution of exam content where possible.
