On listening when it really counts, board games with "twats", and the fail of Dale on Top Chef......
So the day before yesterday I was all emotional and depressed about school. Something that often really upsets me. Justin and I were talking about his school when I broke down and cried. I, don't like to break down, and as I was pulling myself back together I said "I need to paint right now. I just wish I could paint." I went into a long tangent about how painting, even if I suck, is my major stress reliever. I can just be obsorbed by the paint and the brushes and sink into my canvas. Away from the stress. Art is what inspires me the most. And painting, though illustration was my major at school, painting is just where my heart it.
I don't have the space in my room for my art table. There is no way it'd fit. And there is no where else in the house I could put it. My paint is all in little boxes, rather easy to store, but not that table.
Low and behold, yesterday when I get to Justin's house he says he has 2 surprises for me. He bought me 1) Some canvases. (one for each of us to paint on!), and 2) a stand up easel. It gets so tall, and the angle adjusts... and it folds up and fits into a carrying bag, so I can store it when I'm not using it.
I could of cried. It was rather sweet that he listened, and went out and got me what I needed (but didn't even think about) the day after I said it. So sweet. I can't wait to go to my dads and pick up my paint. XD
Last night we went over to Adam and Rachel's and played a very awesome game called.... Blokus. Very much an awesome puzzle game that makes you think...
I suggest to any of you that enjoy puzzles and games.. that you pick it up. It was my first time playing. So I lost bad (even with the help of Nick and Adam) But I was starting to get my brain wrapped about it a bit. I can't wait to play again, and I think Justin's mom is buying it too.
When playing I recommend one or more of the following to go along with your game...
*As many references to Professor Layton as possible.
*Toast
*Random cat running around
*"Smell your dick" video playing in the background on repeat (I still am in shock that I'm the one that found this, and that it is actually a for real, serious.. fucking song. How ridiculous)
*Tall cans of Bud Light
*Discussions of scary Jesus movies, or my personal favorite old movie Freaks, with side show people.
Maybe I had a soft spot for him. Maybe it's because he reminds me sometimes, of my ex boyfriend and I find it amusing. I mean... grow his hair long, give him a guitar, and have him deep fry everything he cooks, and it'd be Todd.. LoL.
But no.. they had to cut him. Yeah he may of caused trouble.. but they kept Lisa. Lisa who has never done really well on the show. Who is a major failboat constantly. and who looks like she hasn't showered since she's been on the show
Ugh. I don't know who I want to win. I guess one of the remaining girls, NOT Lisa though.
But all in all I had a great night. Watching Top Chef... Adam, Rachel, Ken, Joanna, Nick, Justin and I.. all pow-wowing in Nick's room... talking about the size of Professor Layton's ween... It was something I really needed.
Yay!
