hey ed, thanks for your comment. I feel like everybody has misinterpreted the questions a little bit, which is why it only partially works, and it seems impossible to explain through the comments here given how slow it is. Can I show you my code if u 5 have minutes? codeshare.io/2pB8p4 we can chat in real time there and i can actually exlain what it going on with my code there. Would appreciate it tons!!user140161– user1401612020-10-09 23:12:32 +00:00Commented Oct 9, 2020 at 23:12

1Just edit your question to show a few lines of sample input and expected output that the posted solutions don't work for - that should be all that's needed. I personally am happy to help with a couple minutes of my time here and there when someone asks a reasonably clear question but I'm not interested in discussions or code walkthroughs to try to understand the problem (not for free anyway!), maybe others will be able to help if that's what you feel it'll take.Ed Morton– Ed Morton2020-10-09 23:14:22 +00:00Commented Oct 9, 2020 at 23:14

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. shell-script), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
