NOTE: I maintain a full bio about myself in our meta Q&A titled:

As some of you may know the story of how I came to be here, it started with a dare. Several co-workers who've known me for over a decade knew that I've lived and breathed Linux & Unix for many many years. These co-workers did not think I could get to 3k on this site. At each level they would buy me free lunches. I recently got my free lunch at 75k 8-).

And now U&L is part of my daily rituals, and I can't fathom not having it that way. This site is truly one of the nicest communities that I've ever been a part of and I would be honored to be a moderator. As many of you can attest, I already do the bulka lot of the editing, reviewing, & helping both new and old users, and I'd like to make this role a more formal one.
