Over the years I have seen ABM mean very different things inside different organisations. Sometimes it has been little more than a list of accounts and a campaign plan. Other times it has been the framework for real cross-functional change. For me, the biggest lesson is that ABM is not a campaign, a tool or a dashboard. It only works when it becomes part of the way a business designs growth around how customers actually buy, and what they buy into.
