The contract, with a capital cost of Euros 80 million (approximately $82 million), involved the design and construction of a new facility on a 20-acre greenfield site. This is Takeda's first overseas API plant, and it will contribute to product supply, process research and cost-competitiveness. The production of this API facility complemented the activities of Takeda's finishing facility at Bray.
