When I was at WotC, other marginalized people and I tried to make change as ICs and it was so painfully hard to do because we simultaneously had no power and were the most vulnerable. We continued on through tears because we had no other choice: no one else would do the work.

One time I got rejected from final round interviews at Riot. I asked the recruiter for feedback, wrote it down, worked to address every piece of feedback on the list, and then got a different, better job for me at Riot a few months later. Feedback is important for improvement!

The amount of people who have thanked me for sending rejection emails is crazy to me. I've sent about 200 this week. But that's the thing - I actually send them. I actually comment on their work. I actually give advice. Does it take longer? Yes. Worth it, though? Yes. (1/3)

One of our very own members of the Seattle Tabletop Game Designers group is opening his own board game store in Enumclaw, WA. And at the very front of the store is a shelf with all the games ppl in our group designed and published, including Gladius ❤️ We’ve come a long way fam!
