Okay - doing the deed - I'm a toy designer and digital sculptor. Some of my work if you're curious or interested in making a run of toys.

A heck, sorry, I should have posted this before the self-promo banger rider. Here's another link to KennyNL's Adobe Alternatives on Github. github.com/KenneyNL/Adobe…

THIS is pure offensive insanity. Adobe is claiming royalty-free rights to copy and make new content out of customers' assets. Adobe is claiming that they can then sub-license customer assets to OTHER companies. They describe a "reasonable" use-case, but describe no limitations.

The director, Duncan Jones, is locked out and can't use Adobe software he is paying for until he agrees to the new TOS.

"iT's StAnDaRd" isn't really a great defense, people. Our assets are our business. If a company wants to use our assets to help "improve" their software - then they can hire us and pay us. This shouldn't be an all-you-can-eat buffet of free assets for their R&D.

"They mean for making thumbnails!" Really? When we read "Publicly display" and "Publicly perform" - we don't think thumbnails. Nothing that I upload ever is for a public performance by Adobe or Google or Dropbox - cloud services were sold to us as an extension of our HDs.

Wow, what a relief, you CAN "opt-out" of the "on by default" content processing for your proprietary assets - and uh what's that? Adobe will, under "certain limited circumstances" ignore that the little graphic is "switched to off"? So there's no true way to opt-out.

Thanks for the warning...that really is worrysome. Why do they think that is acceptable?...a lot of professionals use their software for confidential projects. Wtf
