He kept the television on the entire time. When he was killing his wife by slitting her neck, deliberately slow to increase the suffering and his control, images of Fred Flintstone flickered over his shoulder.
Later when his son came home unexpectedly after a fight with his friend who's house he was staying, and walked into the scene and to Wile E. Coyote trying to win a unmatched fight; he too tried to fight.
As they walk the crime scene, collecting evidence Bobby stares at the television still on.
“And they say cartoons are innocent.” His partner says walking by.
