Happy (belated) butch appreciation day to studs.

Y’all have been erased and excluded from the beginning of butch culture, and you deserve all the love non-black butches receive (honestly, more).

All non-black (ESPECIALLY white) lesbians need to understand the history of studs in our community. So many non-black people are identifying as studs, and this needs to be shut down immediately.

Historically, butchfemme bar culture had massive amounts of segregation, and refused to see/respect black masculine lesbians as butch. We are racist, and still continue to exclude, stereotype, and erase studs and black lesbians to this day.

So no, you cannot identify as a stud if you are non-black. Not only is it disrespectful to take something that was built off of you excluding others, but it has a deep connection to black lesbianism and black womanhood. It acknowledges the intersection of masculinity and blackness in a society that hates black men, as well as the prejudice and bigotry that comes along with being a black woman.

Also, if any racists get pissed off, you will be blocked and/or reported.
