beauty and the beast makes so much sense as an aspec fairy tale. the fantasy of being loved for who you are and what you do rather than some nebulous force of attraction? love being a gradual process strengthened by acts of kindness and a willingness to change for the better? a dashing furry with a heart of gold gifting you a gigantic library in his magic castle, far away from the judgments and expectations of society? i'm sharing custody with the monsterfuckers for this one
