Wingman
Summary: Jason is too scared to talk to you, thank god his best friend has his back
Warnings: alcohol consumption (minor), swearing
Jason wasn’t the biggest fans of bars. Drinking brought too many demons to the surface, combined with his family history of addiction, it wasn’t his favorite place. But, at Roy’s insistence, he went to the bar instead of spending another solitary night cleaning guns and equipment. Jason talked in clipped sentences, letting Roy carry most of the conversation. His attention was currently divided by the fact that he didn’t want to be there, and you, the woman across the bar who caught his attention. You were dancing, talking, and laughing with what looked like a small group of friends. You had this carefree energy about you that made Jason smile. Your energy was infectious and he couldn’t help but want to be near you. He quickly realized how creepy he probably looked staring you down and took a quick sip of his drink. After realizing Jason was not listening, Roy followed his gaze across the bar to you and smirked. He nudges Jason with his shoulder who is, temporarily, knocked out of his trance.
“She’s pretty. You should go talk to her instead of staring at her like a creep,” he says. Jason scoffs, crosses him arms, and leans back in his bar seat.
“Yeah right,” Jason replies rolling his eyes.
“Why not? It’s obvious you think she’s attractive. You’re not an ugly dude, I could probably have her swooning over me in a minute, but I’m sure you have a chance,” Roy teases and he swears Jason actually growls at him.
