Daryl is the tough guy but his insecurities eat him up alive sometimes. Especially when it comes to you and that warm, pretty little thing called a relationship.
╰⪼ Daryl Dixon x fem!reader / relationship ╰⪼ Word Count: 2,5 k ╰⪼ Warnings: lots of fluffy feelings; slight smut ╰⪼ Masterlist
I wrote it in about an hour so it can be a little bit messy but I kinda like it. It's fluffy and cute.
Daryl couldn't believe his stupid luck that it was you, the girl everyone liked, everyone respected, and everyone wanted to spend time with, who chose him. Sometimes, when he noticed you smiling at him from across the room, he would pinch himself to make sure it wasn't just a dream from which he would soon wake up. Because he wasn't the type of man that girls like you would fall for. He was rough on the edges, even before the whole world went to hell. With a shitty childhood, an abusive father, and a brother who was a dick, he didn't expect to grow up to be good enough to be with someone like you. To even consider that he could deserve you.

✦ nobody in the team believed it, really. the saltiest dude to ever live? has a girlfriend? a bunch of lies! however, those words would surely quickly go down the drain if they ever saw the way that bf!tsukishima's eyes light up whenever he saw you running toward him after class. he'll mask that with a snarky remark, of course.
“slow down, shorty. you'll trip if you keep on running like that.”
✦ bf!tsukishima who always takes your bag and books to carry it for you whenever the two of you are walking home together. and no, he will never allow you to carry them by yourself. not when he's around.
“you'll never grow if you're carrying heavy things all the time, you know.”
✦ every after practice, bf!tsukishima would leave earlier than the rest 'cause he knows that you'd be waiting by the gate while finishing your homework even though he told you not to wait for him. but you insist anyway. and he loves you for it. his stubborn little (shorty) princess.
“did you wait long? i hope you did. should have done my homework while you were at it.”
✦ bf!tsukishima who would smile at his phone whenever you messaged him during practice breaks. this causes his teammates to look at him weird and horrified. it's a peculiar look on his face. now they're curious about whoever this girl was and how she's able to make this salthead smile like that.
Heyyy!! Hope all is well!
Wanted to know if you can write a bakugo x reader, where they are in their second year now and reader has some fanboys, making bakugo jealous . Maybe one of them tries flirting with reader or asking them out on a date 👀
just want Katsuki to claim me🫣
author ིྀ: omg yessss i love this idea ദ്ദി◝ ⩊ ◜.ᐟ🩵
notes ིྀ: sfw, fluff, katsuki, second year, cursing
jealous katsuki ? (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
a knock on the door makes you avert your eyes to the shy figure waiting to step inside
once he’s noticed you he’s already heading your way with what looks like flowers in his hand
“hey y/n.. i just wanted to give you these”
he’s making no effort at any eye contact.. staring off at a nearby wall as he nervously hands you the flowers and note stuffed inside them
you sheepishly smile and take them, thanking him for the gesture which was enough to make him short circuit
this was the seventh time this week that someone has brought you something and you didn’t really mind aside from your locker being stuffed on the regular with all the notes and chocolates
however, someone else had been taking a hit to the ego as he eyed every guy that made their way to you with sum sappy gift to try and please you
——-
at lunch
“oh wow is this for me ?!” you carefully take the bento box a first year offers you, it seems like he made it from scratch too !
during training-
“Y/N CAN WE TRAIN ?!”
“NO IM FASTER I CAN KEEP UP WITH YOU !”
“Y/N I DONT MIND GETTING HURT !!!”
“SHUT UP NO WAY SHE’S PICKING YOU”
even during early patrol with heroes—
“AHHHH Y/N I LOVE YOU PLEASE MARRY ME !”
“I MADE YOU THIS BLANKET PLEASE USE IT !!”
some guys even sobbing and begging to get your attention..
it was sweet.. until you realized some lacked boundaries.
—-
you were walking back from lunch to meet up with mina who wanted to arrange a friends date. it had been a while since you two got to detox given everything that’s happened since the war
she mentioned wanting to go to the springs which sounded amazing.
you got so lost in thought you didn’t even realize someone was calling out to you until they grabbed your shoulder
you turned around in shock at the sudden gesture only to notice it was another student
“damn girl you were tuning me out”
“oh sorry.. did you need something ?”
something felt.. wrong.
the guy smirked, eyeing you up and down before taking a step closer
“actually yeah if you don’t mind”
the hell..
his hand snaked around your waist while his other played with your hair
“was hoping to take you out on a date cutie”
you immediately turn your head and try making it evident you’re uncomfortable
“i’m sorry i have a boyfriend..”
the guy bit his lip, almost like your statement was meant to tease so he moved in, bringing your body a little closer to his
“well it’s stupid of him to leave you alone like this then don’t ya think ?”
“and who the fuck said she was alone ?”
the guy nearly jumped out of his pants when he felt bakugou’s rough hand grab his shoulder
he pulled the guy off of you and immediately started pressing him
“we gonna have a problem first year ?”
the guy threw his hands up surrendering, shaking his head so hard you’d think it would roll right off
“no no not at all”
“good, now apologize for getting your grummy hands on her uniform”
the guy did exactly as bakugou said, he walked over to you and bowed while apologizing profusely before running off while he still had the chance
you couldn’t help but giggle at the scene until bakugou leaned in and scanned your face
“uhh what’re you doing ?”
“we gotta find a way to let these thirsty sea monkeys know you’re mine”
“what ?”
“you heard me. i’m gettin nauseous every time sum new guy brings you another gift or confesses his infatuation for you”
tho he says all this with such confidence, bakugou is clearly blushing
you can’t help but smile at his need for you, you didn’t want to be with anyone else but him anyways
“yk im all yours suki”
he still doesn’t look at you.. not until someone break the tension
“y/n ?!” another random first year shouts
now this time he’s had enough
but before you can even think bakugou’s got you thrown over his shoulder, holding your skirt down and turning to the guy
“she’s off limits to all the first years, do yourself a favor and let the rest know that if i catch another one of you germs talkin to her im gonna grill you each on the pavement.”
and there goes another first year running in pure terror and making sure to relay the message
now you really can’t fight back the laugh
“kats..”
he doesn’t wanna hear it. all he does is suck his teeth and walk off with you still over his shoulder
——-
“damn right you’re all mine.”
possessive katsuki is my favorite !
he ended up getting you a necklace with his initial so even if a guy was close enough to talk to you they immediately knew by that necklace they had about five minutes to remove the sled before they were hurled across the school

You’ve never felt so stressed before.
Your room was dark, the curtains blowing softly by the soft wind coming through the opened windows. The night air was cool and pleasant, signaling the upcoming summer warmth.
There were two more weeks left before summer break, and everyone your age was probably already thinking about their vacation destination. Well, everyone but you.
Unlike all your other friends, who were probably sleeping at this hour, you were sitting at your desk in the dark of your room, a cheap lamp illuminating the books and papers scattered around the table.
You were starting to believe that all your teachers got together and decided to make you suffer: spanish test on monday, math and physics test on wednesday, english essay due to thursday and last but not least, that stupid history project due to friday.
You weren’t sure you’d be able to make it to the weekend, but everything you could do now was to study for hours and get your brain burned out. That’s why you locked yourself in your room this morning and hadn’t come out until then.
That’s why you’ve been ignoring your boyfriend all day.
“your touch”

your boyfriend tsukishima kei needs your affection after a long day

He was now in his late 20s and a professional volleyball player. He dedicates a huge part of his day to this sport and he would never admit it, but he would rather die than stop playing it in the future. He won numerous championships, tournaments, made new friends, traveled around the country and created great memories.
And like everything he’d ever loved, it sometimes drained every single bit of his energy. He often goes to practice carrying the weight of work on his shoulders, and comes back home exhausted.
But there is something that managed to brush off every tiredness into his body.
You. His gorgeous girlfriend.
No Explosions Tonight
Katsuki Bakugo x Reader
Synopsis: After a long day at UA, Bakugo finds himself half asleep in your arms, saying things he never would if he were fully awake.
Word Count: 1,200
Bakugo’s dorm room is quiet in a way most people would never expect.
The overhead lights are off, leaving only the soft glow of his desk lamp spilling warmth across the walls. Everything is clean, too clean for someone who claims not to care. The air smells faintly of his soap and something sharp underneath, familiar and comforting.
You’re half sitting against his pillows, back supported, legs stretched out beneath the blanket. Your phone rests loosely in your hand as you scroll, not really paying attention.
Because Katsuki Bakugo is curled up against you.
He’s pressed into your side, solid and warm, one leg hooked over yours like he’s claimed you. His arm is wrapped tight around your waist, fingers curled into your shirt. His head rests against your chest, cheek warm against your skin, breath slow and heavy. He’s right on the edge of sleep.
Your fingers move through his hair in slow, gentle strokes.
He exhales deeply.
“That’s nice,” he mutters.
You smile but don’t stop.
His grip tightens just a little. “Don’t quit.”
“I wasn’t planning on it.”
He shifts closer, nose brushing against your collarbone, voice dropping lower as sleep pulls at him.
“Love you.”
It’s quiet. Unceremonious. Completely honest.
Your chest tightens, but you keep your voice steady. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he grumbles. “You’re good. For me.”
tsukishima kei: home this christmas
content: fluff, mutual pining, friends to lovers, best friend!tsukishima kei, college au (?), MOST LIKELY OOC because this is my first time writing a tsuki x reader
a/n: this is a secret santa gift for @tsukisangel! from @sodaneko's secret santa fic exchange!!! I hope you like it (I do apologize, I know it's not exactly what you wished for but I hope you still like it.)
You’d been tossing and turning for what felt like hours.
It was already past 2 a.m. of the 24th, the red numbers on your alarm clock blurring every time you rolled onto your side. You weren’t sure what was keeping you awake—the Christmas anticipation or the way your feet felt like ice no matter how tightly you curled them under the blanket.
Or maybe it was the fact that Tsukishima Kei—your best friend of four years, the person you’d been quietly in love with for half of those—is sleeping (supposedly) in the guest room next door. You’d talked all semester, of course. Video calls that stretched too long. A steady exchange of memes and inside jokes no one else would ever find funny through text. But it wasn’t the same as this. Not the same as knowing he was just a few steps away, separated by a wall and a door and all the things neither of you had ever said out loud.
He’d arrived earlier that afternoon, duffel bag slung over one shoulder, breath fogging in the cold air as you’d dragged him inside your apartment because you’d insisted—no, demanded that he come spend Christmas eve with you. He’d grunted over the phone when you called, already tired, already resistant, until you’d threatened him with something you knew would work.
You hadn’t actually needed to. He’d been at your door before you’d even finished bargaining.
You stared at the wall, listening. But there was nothing. No footsteps. No shifting. No muffled curse at the heater or the cold.
Kei's probably already asleep too, you told yourself. He hated the cold. Hated late nights. Hated noise, of course he's already asleep. And he's also probably tired from making the trip from Tokyo.
Still, the thought of him lying awake with his glasses off, his now long, blond hair mussed, staring at the ceiling just like you and it made your chest ache in a way you didn’t quite want to examine.
Eventually, you gave up. Groaning as you kicked your comforter off.
You slipped out of bed, tugging a thick sweater tighter around yourself, padding into the hallway in socks. The floor was cold enough to make you hiss quietly even though the heater was on.
The house felt different at night, especially during the holidays. It felt smaller and softer, the holiday felt like it shifted the energy in your apartment.
You shuffled toward the kitchen, following the faint hum of the refrigerator like a lighthouse. When you reached for the handle, you paused.
Because there was already light spilling out onto the floor.
“…Hello?”
The fridge door was open just enough to cast a pale glow across the kitchen tiles. And standing in front of it—his tall figure bent slightly, one hand braced against the counter, the other holding a mug—was Tsukishima Kei.
He blinked at you through his glasses, clearly startled, then he sighed.
“Great,” he muttered. “I was hoping you were asleep.”
“You say that like you’re not standing in my kitchen at two in the morning,” you whispered back.
He snorted softly and pushed the fridge door shut with his leg. The sudden dimness left only the warm stove light on, low and amber, catching in the fog of his glasses. He was wearing an old pajama shirt. you recognized it since it’s something he’d owned since high school. His blond hair stuck up slightly at the crown like he’d been running his hands through it.
“…Why are you awake?” you asked.
Tsukishima lifted his mug. “Hot chocolate.”
“I’m not blind, Kei. Why are you still up?” You asked more intently.
He shrugged. “Your heater is lying about how warm it is.”
You stepped closer, rubbing your arms through your sweater. “You’re not one to stay up so late, you hate late nights.” You state the obvious.
“I also hate being cold,” he said, glancing at you pointedly. “Yet here we are.”
The bickering slipped into place like muscle memory. Like falling back where you left off, with no change between lifelong friends who spent half a year apart. It's only natural with him.
And that’s what makes it so different with everybody else.
You grabbed another mug from the cabinet that he wordlessly poured some of his drink into yours.
You leaned against the counter. “So,” you said quietly. “How was Tokyo? Like, the whole experience, not just college.” He leaned on the counter too, your shoulders brushing his arm. You watch the Christmas lights flicker, changing its rhythm from the doorway of your kitchen door.
He hesitated. Just a fraction. “You know, busy.”
“That’s it?”
“Do you want the long version or the one where I complain?”
“…Well, both.”
Tsukishima huffed, but his shoulders relaxed. “The commute sucked. And every café near campus overcharges.”
You smiled into your mug. “That sounds terrible.”
“It was,” he admitted. Then, softer: “And it was… fine.”
You watched him over the rim. “You don’t sound convinced.”
He stared into his drink, steam curling between you. “It’s just. I don't know, being away made things… louder.”
“Louder?”
“Yeah.” He adjusted his glasses, a nervous habit you knew too well. “Everything I didn’t want to think about had more space.”
Your chest tightened. “Like what?”
Tsukishima was quiet for a long moment. The fridge kicked on again, its hum filling the silence that stretched between you as you wait for his answer.
“…You,” he said.
Your mug was halfway to your mouth when you froze from the words that left his lips.
“Yeah, you were always there,” he continued, still not looking at you. “Calls. Messages. Dumb memes even during classes. But it wasn’t the same.”
Your fingers curled around the mug. “I mean, long-distance best friendship isn’t exactly ideal.”
“That’s not what I meant.” He finally glanced up. His eyes were serious, stripped of their usual sharp and annoying edge. “I missed you in a way that didn’t make sense for just friends.”
The kitchen felt suddenly too small.
“I’d catch myself thinking about this place,” he went on. “About how you leave the lights on even when it’s not December. About how you used to nag me about every little thing. About how quiet it gets when you fall asleep during movies.”
You swallowed, unable to process everything he's trying to say.
“And I hated it,” he said. “Because I couldn’t do anything about it.”
Your voice came out barely above a whisper. “Kei…”
He stepped closer. Not touching. Just close enough that you could feel his warmth. “I didn’t want to realize it like that. Being away. I kee thinking about wanting to come back just to sit in your kitchen at two a.m.” His gaze drops to your mouth. "Like this."
You laughed softly, breath shaky. “We’re literally doing that right now.”
“I know.” His mouth twitched. “And it feels like coming home."
There was a long pause, he licked his lips before the words tumble out his mouth.
“It is exactly like coming home.” He added, looking back to your Christmas tree. He inhaled for a long moment, then turned his gaze back to you.
“I like you,” he said finally. No sarcasm. No deflection. “More than I should have let myself.”
Your heart pounded so loud you were scared he could hear how fast it was racing. Your fingers tightened on your mug.
Then, you set it down carefully. “Well, you’re not dumb.” You started to say.
His eyes widened, only for a little while before it flickered into a smug look.
“And you’ve probably had a clue that I’ve liked you for as long as I remember you. You think I forced you to stay here just because I missed you as a friend?” you added. “Kei, I’ve been counting down to winter break.”
He scoffed, "You think I didn't look forward to coming home? Here, in our hometown? To you?"
You shook your head chuckling, rolling your eyes before he catches your gaze.
Something in his expression broke open.
“Can I—” he asked quietly.
You didn’t make him finish the question. You stepped into his space, hands curling lightly into the fabric of his worn out shirt. He froze for half a second before he finally leaned in, a little tentative, but when he finally let the hesitation go, he leaned deeper into your kiss.
The kiss was soft and careful. It felt like a question and an answer all at once.
His slender hands found your waist, warm and steady, thumb brushing small circles like he’d done it a thousand times in his head. You kissed him again, a little surer this time, and he sighed into it with relief. By the way he pulled you closer, your feet lifted a little from how tall he was.
When you finally pulled back, foreheads resting together, the kitchen was still quiet and finally warm.
“Well, thank God for Christmas,” you murmured, your smile reaching your ears as something warm bloomed in your stomach.
Tsukishima huffed a laugh, nose brushing yours. “Is that your way of saying ‘I love you’ now?” he asked you teasingly. You just hit his chest a little before he smirks and gives you a peck.
“I love you too, dork." He whispers between you, both your breathing fogged his glasses up.
The two of you lingered in the kitchen, neither wanting to break the spell. Outside, the Christmas lights blinked through the window, painting the floor and walls in soft reds, greens, and golds. The faint scent of pine from your small tree mixed with the chocolatey warmth from your mugs, and a quiet carol hummed from the speakers in the living room.
“I should probably head back to the guest room,” Kei muttered after a long pause, though he didn’t move.
You tilted your head, your fingers still brushing his. “Or… you could stay here a little longer.”
He raised an eyebrow, teasing but hesitant. “Stay here?”
You shrugged, letting the warmth in your gaze do the talking. “Yeah. We can just… sit. Talk. Watch the lights. Or, you know…” You let the implication hang between you.
Kei’s lips twitched in that faint, almost-smug smile, but the softness in his eyes betrayed him. After a moment, he nodded. “Yeah… okay.”
You set your mugs down and guided him to the living room. The couch was draped with a thick knit blanket, the fairy lights on the little tree in the corner casting golden speckles across the cushions. Outside, the neighbor’s lights twinkled in rhythm with the music, and the faint scent of cinnamon from the candle you’d lit mingled with the warm chocolate aroma.
You sank onto the couch first, patting the space beside you. Kei hesitated, then eased down next to you, his shoulder brushing yours. Slowly and naturally, you scooted closer, until your back was pressed against his chest and his arm wrapped around your waist. His chin rested lightly on your shoulder, the warmth of him seeping through your sweater.
“This… is nice,” Kei murmured, voice low, soft.
You tilted your head against him, smiling. “Yeah, I miss having you here."
He tightened his arm gently. “I missed this,” he admitted. “Missed… you.”
You smiled, letting your heart settle in the quiet, soft glow. “I missed you too.”
Outside, a light snow began to fall, dusting the window with delicate flakes that shimmered in the tree lights. Kei pressed a gentle kiss to your temple.
“Sleep if you can,” he whispered. “I’ll be here, we can celebrate Christmas together.”
You nuzzled into him, letting the warmth and familiarity sink in. The living room felt like its own little world with the glow of the lights, the soft hum of music, the scent of pine and cocoa, and the steady rhythm of Tsukishima's breathing against you.
“This is nice,” you whispered.
He chuckled softly. “Yeah… perfect. I'm home.”
And there, wrapped in each other’s warmth on the couch, the world outside melted away. The holiday lights flickered like tiny stars, and for the first time in a long while, everything felt just right.
Hey hey! Hope you’re doing well!
Can you do a bakugo x reader , where they go on a date and gets ruined (in his eyes lol) ? Not Sharing You
Katsuki Bakugo x Reader
Word Count: 1,300
Bakugo Katsuki did not do dates.
He tolerated training exercises. He endured interviews. He put up with crowds when he absolutely had to. But a date in public was an unnecessary test of patience he had not signed up for.
And yet.
There he was, standing outside a quiet street café, hands shoved into his pockets, scowl sharp enough to scare off anyone dumb enough to approach. He had picked the place himself, some stupidly cozy spot he had pretended not to care about after spending way too long looking it up. If anyone asked, it was just convenient.
You were late.
Barely. Five minutes. But Bakugo noticed every second, jaw tight as his gaze flicked to the street again.
The bell above the café door chimed.
There you were.
His shoulders eased before he could stop them. You caught sight of him and smiled, waving as you crossed the sidewalk.
“Wow,” you said, eyes dragging over him deliberately. “You look like you’re two seconds away from yelling at someone for breathing too loud.”
“Tch. Haven’t yelled at anyone yet,” he shot back. “You’re late.”
You raised a brow. “Five minutes.”
“Still late.”
You stepped closer, invading his space on purpose, lips quirking. “Miss me?”
“Don’t get cocky,” he grumbled. But his hand found your wrist anyway, tugging you toward the door like it belonged there.
The date was good. Annoyingly so.
The food was decent. The café was not packed. You were in one of those moods where your sass matched his bite perfectly, quick remarks and playful challenges, a rhythm he never admitted he enjoyed. You did not back down, did not flinch when he snapped, and every time you smirked at him like you had won, something tight curled in his chest.
“You’re staring,” you said, sipping your drink.
“I’m thinking.”
“That’s dangerous.”
“Watch it.”
But his mouth twitched anyway.
Everything was going right.
Which was exactly when the universe decided to mess with him.
You had just stepped outside, Bakugo walking half a step ahead like a guard dog on instinct, when a small, shaky voice cut through the noise.
“Um… excuse me?”
You both stopped.
A little boy stood there, clutching a worn stuffed animal, eyes wide and glassy as he glanced around the street like it might swallow him whole.
Bakugo frowned. “What.”
You shot him a look and crouched immediately, your whole presence softening.
“Hey,” you said gently. “Are you okay?”
The boy sniffed. “I can’t find my mom.”
Bakugo stiffened.
Before he could say anything, the boy flinched at a loud truck passing and suddenly he was there, arms wrapped around your waist, pressing into you like you were solid ground.
Bakugo froze.
“Oi.”
You startled for half a second, then relaxed, instinct taking over. You bent slightly, one hand smoothing over the boy’s hair in slow, calming strokes.
“It’s okay,” you murmured. “That was just a truck. You’re safe.”
The boy nodded but did not let go.
Bakugo stared, eye twitching. “They’re attached.”
You glanced back at him with a clear don’t even think about it look, then turned your attention back to the boy.
“Do you want to hold my hand while we look for your mom?” you asked softly.
He nodded immediately, slipping his small fingers into yours.
Bakugo’s jaw tightened.
You walked slowly, matching his short steps. You crouched to point out store signs, knelt to wipe away tears when his lip wobbled, praised him quietly for being brave. When he got tired, he leaned against your leg, and you rested a steady hand on his back, thumb tracing gentle circles.
“I’m right here,” you promised when he tugged your sleeve. “I won’t leave.”
Bakugo followed behind, arms crossed, irritation simmering as he watched the boy laugh at you, cling to you, even offer you his stuffed animal.
Unacceptable.
Then the boy peeked around your leg again, whispering, “He’s kinda scary.”
Bakugo froze. “What.”
You turned to the boy, lowering yourself again. “He looks scary,” you said kindly, smiling. “But he’s actually really nice once you get to know him.”
Bakugo opened his mouth to protest.
You did not let him.
“He’s like a big ol’ puppy dog,” you continued warmly. “Really loud. Really loyal. He always stays close to me.”
The boy blinked. “Really?”
You nodded. “Whenever I’m scared, he protects me. Makes sure nothing bad happens.”
Bakugo’s scowl faltered.
You met his eyes briefly, sincerity clear.
“Just like I’m doing for you right now,” you finished softly.
Something in Bakugo’s chest shifted. The sharp edge of his irritation dulled, replaced by something unfamiliar and heavy.
The boy looked back at him. “You protect her?”
Bakugo looked away, ears burning. “Yeah.”
“Okay,” the boy decided.
From then on, he did not hide. When Bakugo stepped slightly in front of you at the crosswalk, the boy did not protest. When a loud noise echoed, Bakugo shifted instinctively, shielding both of you.
You smiled.
Eventually, a frantic woman came running down the street, calling the boy’s name. The reunion was tearful and fast. Before leaving, the boy waved at you enthusiastically.
“Bye!”
You waved back, voice gentle. “Bye. Be safe.”
The moment they disappeared into the crowd, Bakugo stepped closer, hand snapping around yours like he was reclaiming something stolen.
“Date was ruined,” he muttered.
You laughed, leaning into him. “You were jealous of a lost child.”
“I don’t like sharing.”
“With anyone?”
“With anyone,” he snapped, then quieter, “Especially not you.”
Your teasing softened. You squeezed his hand. “Big puppy dog.”
“Say that again and you’re dead.”
But he did not let go.
Not even for a second.

And like everything he’d ever loved, it sometimes drained every single bit of his energy. He often goes to practice carrying the weight of work on his shoulders, and comes back home exhausted.
But there is something that managed to brush off every tiredness into his body.
You. His gorgeous girlfriend.
lingering kiss / k. bakugo
came back home tired and all he wanted was to be pampered with love by you ♡
katsuki bakugo only lets himself be vulnerable around you, especially when he's so tired.
and you can tell the second the door of your dorm opens.
his hair is still damp from a warm shower, towel-sloppy instead of spiked, and a clean shirt clinging to him in that way that says he showered fast and didn’t bother drying properly. the sharp scent of soap trails in behind him as he closes the door with his heel, shoulders sagging like he’s finally allowed himself to stop holding everything up.
you glance over from your desk. “hi,”
he just stood by the door and didn't answer right away. just watch you for a second. you, sitting cross-legged in front of your study table with your notes spread out, pencil tucked between your fingers, brow furrowed in concentration.
something in his expression softens, even melts.
“hmph,” he mutters, low. “you’re busy.”
you smiled a little. “just rereading some lessons.”
he hums, noncommittal, then crosses the room and drops onto your bed anyway, right behind you. the mattress dips under his weight, warm and familiar, and you could feel his stare still in you.
katsuki leans back on his hands, now staring at the ceiling.
silence stretches.
then, quieter than usual, almost reluctant, he asked, “…you really gotta keep studyin’?”
you smile without looking at him. “we have an exam tomorrow, remember?”
another pause.
“…right.”
you laugh softly at his actions and turn around. you already know what he wants the moment he steps inside your dorm. his eyes flick down to you immediately, sharp and hungry in a way that has nothing to do with desire and everything to do with need.
“tired?” you ask.
he scoffs without a bite into it. “what d’you think?”
you shift, setting your notes aside, and stand up slowly from your study table, deliberately, until you’re right in front of him. katsuki’s breath stutters the moment you step between his knees.
he doesn’t touch you yet. just look up.
“…c’mere,” he says, rough but unsure. like he’s asking without wanting to admit it.
so you do.
your hands come up first, smoothing through his damp hair, fingertips gentle against his scalp. katsuki exhales like he’s been holding his breath all day. his head tips forward automatically, forehead pressing into your stomach as if his body already knows it’s safe here.
“you didn’t properly dry your hair.” you mumbled as you tried to reach for a clean tower that was slung in a chair without moving from your spot. then, gently, you dried his hair.
“wanted to see you first.” he mumbled on your stomach.
you smile and keep going. after some time, you set the now damp towel aside and let your thumb brush over his temple, knuckles grazing his cheek.
“there,” you murmur. “i’ve got you.”
a low sound rumbles out of his chest, halfway between a sigh and a growl. his hands finally come up, settling at your hips, not gripping, not demanding. just anchoring.
“you always do,” he mutters.
you lean down, pressing a soft kiss to the crown of his head. then another to his forehead. his nose. the corner of his mouth.
that gets him.
katsuki tilts his head up and catches your lips, slow and unhurried. no rush. no heat. just pure warmth and familiarity. the kind of kiss that says i missed you and i love you without a single word.
he kisses you again. and again. small, lingering presses that make his shoulders relax more each time.
when he finally pulls back, his head rests back on your stomach.
“…stay like this,” he says quietly. “just me and you. yeah?”
your heart aches in the best way possible.
you cradle his face in both hands, thumbs brushing beneath his eyes. “i’m not going anywhere.”
katsuki closes his eyes, leaning into your touch like it’s the only thing holding him together. he stays there for a while, breathing slowly like he’s syncing himself to you.
after a second, katsuki gently tug your waist down to sit down on his lap. accepting his proposal, you gently smile at him.
your fingers then trace lazy patterns along his jaw, and he hums, actually hums, low and content, before he nuzzles closer. his nose brushes your cheek, then your neck, seeking warmth more than anything else.
“you smell nice,” he murmurs, voice rough with exhaustion. “always do.”
you smiled again and ran your fingers through his hair again, slower this time, letting your nails scratch lightly at his scalp. his grip on your hips tightens just a little, not possessive—grounding.
“how did the training with beast jeanist go?” you ask softly.
he exhales. “‘s alright. did a lot of stuff. learned something new.”
a pause.
“…and i miss you.”
that does it.
your heart swells, and without thinking, you couldn't help but to lean again and press a gentle kiss to his temple, then his cheek, then the corner of his mouth. katsuki, as always, tilts his head to catch your lips. but this time, it was deeper yet still slow, still careful.
he kisses like he’s savoring you.
like he has all the time in the world right now and only wants to spend it here.
one of his hands slides up your back, warm and steady, palm resting between your shoulder blades as if to say don’t go anywhere.
and when you pull back just enough to breathe, he follows instinctively, chasing your lips with a soft, almost needy sound.
“baby,” he mutters, embarrassed. “don’t tease.”
you laugh quietly and press another kiss to his lips, then his nose. “i’m not teasing. i’m pampering you.”
his ears turn faintly pink.
“…okay,” he says, then adds more quietly, “i like it when you do that.”
you guide him gently backward until he’s laying on your bed. while you, you turned off the lights and put the lamp into a dim setting. katsuki watched you with an uncharacteristically calm and eager expression until you settled beside him with your notes on the study table forgotten.
your boyfriend instantly buried his face on your chest as your hands found their way back over his shoulders, his chest, slow and reassuring.
katsuki looks up at you like this, unguarded, eyes heavy-lidded, mouth relaxed. and it feels like seeing something precious you’re not meant to rush.
he reaches up, brushing his thumb on your cheek.
“stay,” he repeats, softer now. “please.”
you lean down and rest your forehead against his, your nose brushing his. “i won't leave.”
his eyes close immediately.
relief washes over his face, all tension finally draining from his shoulders as he buries himself even more into your warm embrace. he presses a lingering kiss in your jaw, holding you close like the world can wait.
and for tonight, it does.
a/n: I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!
