Apple may have accidentally revealed its upcoming hardware plans through internal identifiers found in publicly shared software code. The leaked information suggests that the tech giant is working on next-generation upgrades for several product lines. The new HomePod mini, codenamed B525, is expected to use the T8310 microarchitecture, the same used in recent Apple Watches.

It will likely include a 64-bit dual-core CPU based on the A16 chip and a 4-core Neural Engine for better processing and smarter audio features. Apple is also planning a refresh of its Apple TV lineup with the A17 Pro chip, which powered last year’s iPhone 15 Pro. This upgrade, expected later this year, will significantly improve performance, support for Apple Intelligence, and console-style graphics.

References to a next-generation Studio Display, codenamed J427, have been found. Another potential model, J527, is also being evaluated. The new display might include a mini-LED backlight and could be paired with the first Macs powered by Apple’s upcoming M5 chip.

Apple’s next-gen leaks unveiled

The next iPad mini, codenamed J510/J511, is tied to the A19 Pro chip, the same family expected in the iPhone 17 Pro. Apple is exploring an OLED version as early as 2026, but the exact timing is unclear.

The next low-cost iPad, codenamed J581/J582, is expected to feature an A18 chip and is scheduled for a spring refresh. The A18 chip will include a 16-core Neural Engine and support for Apple Intelligence, bringing modern AI features to the budget tier. The second generation of Apple’s Vision Pro is aligned with the M5 chip, potentially launching in late 2025.

Besides the upgraded silicon, changes are expected to be minimal but may include a new strap for added comfort. The upcoming Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3 are all expected to feature the S11 SiP, maintaining the T8310 architecture used in S9 and S10. These models are likely to see packaging and efficiency tweaks rather than significant performance gains.

While none of these products have been officially announced, the newly surfaced identifiers align with Apple’s internal taxonomy and previous code-based reporting, providing a strong indication of what may come. If accurate, these leaks suggest a potentially expensive holiday season for Apple enthusiasts.
