As a few of you know, a little while ago i found out my nan had stomach cancer, and decided to do the race for life this year in sheffield (see http://www.raceforlife.org/allabou… for some more details)
summer_moth has agreed to keep me company on for the race, which will be sunday 3rd june around sheffield. We'll be attempting to run some, walk the rest eating chocolate i think.
As such, since it is a sponsored event, we're hoping there would be a few people out there who would sponsor us and donate some money to a good cause. I cant remember the statistics, but i think a good portion of you will experience cancer at some point in you life, be it yourself or a relative or friend who is affected, and so research into prevention and cure is important.
The easiest and best way to sponsor us is online, at http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.or…. there are two reasons for this being the best way to sponsor us, the first that its easier for you and me, as there's no chasing up of money or anything. the second comes in if you are a uk tax payer - they get 28% of whatever yo donate back in tax (ie if we raise £100 in total from uk taxpayers, they get £128, which is a fair difference)
so please, if you have a bit of money spare, donate it to a good cause and help us raise money for cancer research
