Of talking to parents....
Well, thats has to be the most.... well surprising conversation i've had with my dad in a long while.
i noticed this morning that a mysterious sum of money had gone into my account. as it had been payed in at a branch via machine, all it said was the sort code of the branch. after a while, i suddenly realised it may have been done by my parents. so i decided to ring my dad
well, he tells the pc we sorted for him is working fine now, and then the my little sister is ok. oh and wait, yes, that she's left school, and is applying for a job as junior office assistant in my dads building. scary.
i asked about the money and he said yes, it was him, he thought mum had said they were going to do it. she'd said they might give me the money for my party maybe. appears they've also paid for my car window too :s well, it seems i am to use the money to get my car serviced if it needs it.
plans when i go home have changed from beer frestival to pub crawl, and now to all you can eat chinese with much wine, followed by all the real ales we can buy in asda or morrisons. this is slightly different from origional, but still a worthwhile plan i feel.
and then, just as i'm going, he tells me that my eldest (half) sister, who he hasnt spoken to in years and has his only grandchild of yet, is spliting from her husband. i'm not quite sure how he knows this and yet i dont (given i am actually on resonably good speaking trrms with helen), but hey. he seems ok, maybe she'll even realise she should make up with her dad, who knows?
all ina ll, a fairly strange conversation i think
right, now to eat pizza...
