½ = Absolute shit. Something I personally see as so horrible that it doesn't even deserve a whole star. Words fail to describe.

* = Horrible. Totally unpleasant piece of crap which should be avoided at all costs.

*½ = Bad. Not a pleasant to watch but has some qualities which rescue it from being totally horrible.

** = Tolerable. It has its moments and there's something good in it, but ultimately fails to be interesting.

**½ = Average. Forgettable but watchable, doesn't really stand out. Sometimes also a film that fails to grab my interest.

*** = Okay. Something good and something bad, as a whole a nice film and pleasant to watch. Nothing special though.

***½ = Good. Has it's flaws but is still really enjoyable and genuinely good film, something to recommend.

**** = Great. Accomplished piece of cinema that no-one should miss.

****½ = Excellent. This kind of film I already call a masterpiece, it's pretty much flawless and provokes thoughts and emotions.

***** = Masterpiece. Basically a four and a half star film that packs an extra punch for me. Personal favorites.
