A-kon 23

Success!!! In fact, such a success that we had literally NO pictures of ourselves on our own cameras so I've been slowly lurking the internet, gathering pics from other people's galleries. This is the first time in 8 years of going to A-kon that I've had to do allll my shopping on the last day, because we didn't have time to look at anything on Saturday due to stopping to let people take pictures (this is not a complaint at all, more of a "HOSHIT THAT REALLY HAPPENED" sort of sentiment).

Also, dunno if I mentioned but everyone ended up wanting to enter the cosplay contest so instead of a solo skit we did a group walk-on (which is just 30 seconds walking on, posing in 2 spots, walking off):

  
Albie/Bolin had the idea of 1st post being he and Andy/Mako posing and me bursting through them like a badass. Which would've worked perfectly if Albie hadn't accidentally elbowed me in the face, causing me to laugh hysterically and totally ruin any badass moment (but at least no one else, including Albie, noticed any of that).


But strong recovery for the 2nd pose!



Sierra was a CHAMP at this walk-on. She was a champ in general with all the pictures and attention. My dad was also really great, since I know he was reeeeally hot and tired at this point (and also pretty nervous :P).



WE WON PEOPLE'S CHOICE. TROPHY AND SWAG FOR US. HOLY CRAP, IT WAS UNEXPECTED AND AMAZING.


Also scored some awesome Fire Ferret t-shirts at Artists' Alley (and ate lots of delicious food--this is taken outside the Tokyo One Buffet, which is our usual end-of-A-kon tradition). YAY!
