A yo-yo was a starfighter tactic used by T-65B X-wing starfighters during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. The tactic involved the X-wing performing a half loop at full speed and then using gravity to adjust their position. When performed at a low thrust, it allowed the pilot to gain speed while flying into an enemy's turning radious. The tactic was primarily used while chasing slower moving targets, such as an assault gunboat or a TIE/sa bomber.[1]
