- "Cid warned us about poachers in the area"
- ―Hunter of Clone Force 99
Poaching was a criminal hunting activity practiced by poachers, involving the illegal killing, capturing, or otherwise harvesting of wild animals. While on assignment for the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts, the safari droid SF-R3 and cam droid CAM witnessed two poachers attempting to illegally capture a nexu.[2] A rogue Ithorian organization offered unlicensed big game hunting expeditions into the Mother Jungle that the Dowutin mercenary Grummgar once took part in,[3][4] which could be described as poaching.
During or after 18 BBY,[5] the Trandoshan cantina owner Ciddarin Scaleback warned the mercenary squad Clone Force 99 about poachers present on Ipsidon, where they were mining for ipsium.[1]
