Blue-algae was a type of algae that was found on the planet Naboo. Naboo farmers used it as a fertilizer for their fields. It was seen as more effective, as well as better smelling, than the commonly used shaak scat, as it nearly doubled their normal output during Naboo's growing season when it was used on a limited number of fields.[1]
