A computer application is a window into a conceptual, moral and emotional space of current interest to the user. Spaces of the most urgent/enduring interest tend to be the most complex. My interest in software engineering therefore starts with the commitment to empower people to communally or individually navigate such spaces more confidently, playfully, fearlessly.
