New York City to rats: Drop dead!

New York City is going to war against rats.To start, the city will expand a pilot program, which had started in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, to parts of the south Bronx and East Harlem, Mayor Bloomberg said Thursday. The program calls for much more aggressive inspections by the city health department, the distribution of some 8,000 rat-resistant garbage containers, and the formation of a rodent abatement task force, Bloomberg said. The task force will look into successful initiatives in other cities and try to see what might work in New York.

Only rats under 1 foot qualify.

My 14 year old cat Splifford has a mammary gland tumor that's malignant and needs to be removed before it spreads. I got an appointment for surgery next Sunday. I got too much stress right now!!!
