During the summer I work at a science and math day camp. Spent the day at the zoo with a group of kids. We're down looking the at giraffes in their building and the teacher is explaining about how the enclosure is designed and she points out the male giraffe and the females. One of the kids turns to me and asks how the teacher knows which one is a boy. My response was it was b/c she also volunteers at the zoo. Reality is that giraffe balls are huge! We get all kinds of kids at camp though so I can't say that. I didn't even laugh this year. Helped that we didn't go to the Desert Dome and see the meerkats. There's a song in Lion King 1 and 1/2 where the meerkats sing about all they ever do is dig. It's a lie. I've never been past the meerkat display without seeing at least 1 couple busy making more meerkats!
