"The single city in the desert lies - the vanity of an ancient king"
On recent world events - I have thoughts and I may soon write them down. That to say - this is not that.
This is a post about it going from upwards in the 70s yesterday to lower in the 40s today, and how it is rainy and gray. It's a steady sort of light rain that you hardly notice from inside, with wind that doesn't even come close to rattling the windows, but rather whirls around laden flower petals, lifting them briefly from their plastered state to smash them against steps and doors. However, when go for a walk in it, the light rain is constant, and overwhelming for just a jacket and a hood. And when you put up an umbrella, that 'barely there' breeze can strain the brackets and maneuver the rain in sneaky directions to hit you in the face regardless.
It was glorious anyway. The spring colors - fresh pinks and vivid blues - really pop against the gray. And the air felt clean and invigorating.
And even though the library did not have my book, I enjoyed my walk very much anyway.
