31 Days of the Untamed: rewatch - day 2

2. Moment(s) when you have really identified with a character.

I'm trying doing this for several people just because I don't just want to be talking about Wei Wuxian all the time.

But the main one that instantly springs to mind: Wei Wuxian at the party in Jinlintai, demanding to know where the Wens are. That burning sense of an injustice that must be put right, the sense of obligation, the sense of urgency, the fuming, bordering on murderous, impatience with the asshat who's wasting valuable time by trying to act tough. Yep. Right there with him.

Lan Zhan... when he's standing in Yiling all helpless because a crying child has attached itself to him. That could be me, right there. Including the reluctance to touch said child. (He turns out to be better with children in the end than I ever will be but in that moment, boy, I feel him.)

Jiang Cheng: when he's a total fanboy of the two cool cultivators. I'd fanboy them too! He's so cute!

Wen Qing: that jaw-dropping moment when your little brother, whom you want to protect at all costs, has brought the hunted enemy fugitives home with him. I felt like I can read the thoughts spooling through her mind and all of them are correct.

Meng Yao (yes, even with him, I could identify at one point): when Nie Huaisang wails at him about having yet another problem for Meng Yao to solve. In retrospect it's hilarious that I ever felt for Meng Yao at that point, and now I simply admire Nie Huaisang's excellent harrassment techniques. Still.
