the rikers: generation three spares, part 2

←Part 1

After their wedding in the backyard of Nathan's childhood home, the couple settled into a small house by the park. While Katherine enjoys their colorful, rather retro-looking home, being a romance sim, she's not to please about domesticity.

Unlike the synth in his sister's house, the bass is the addiction in this one.

Nathan comes home one day to spy a gorgeous woman walking past his house. It makes him rather nostalgic for the days when he was a carefree college student.

Of course, he'll soon not have time to reminisce as he'll be busy with the new baby on the way.

Meet Zoe Rikers.

Nathan's overjoyed.

Even with a new baby in the house these two still manage to find time for post-coital bliss.

And before long, it's Zoe's birthday!

Holy Eyebags, Batman! But she's still adorable!

Nathan's in the Oceanography career. He spent many nights parked at that desk to skill.

Katherine spies on the neighbors when Zoe's napping.

Katherine's secondary aspiration is Grilled Cheese. Thankfully, grilled cheese wants basically overrode any romantic wants she might've had. So her mood was usually in the gold to platinum range.

Zoe's such a cutie!

Now that Zoe's a big girl, she gets a big girl room.

And for her birthday, her parents bought her kitten from the elderly cat breeders in the trailer park on the other side of town. Her name is Whiska.

Zoe: Mommy, will I have boobies like yours when I'm older?
Katherine: You can only hope. Now finish your breakfast, baby.

Manuel often walks by the house.

Whiska has taken more to Katherine than to Zoe it seems.

Zoe's feeling smug after PWNing her classmates on their latest math test.

No, I'm not a creeper. I just absolutely love how her room turned out.

Bored at home and feeling that Zoe's old enough to handle being without her, Katherine gets a job and carpools to work with her husband.

And look who grew up! Whiska's a rather interesting-looking cat. What, with her small head, large body, and lack of a tail.

She might be odd, but she's very loved.

After the girls' ballet class, Nadia brings them to visit Uncle Nathan.

He enjoys his nieces and his daughter is very close to her cousins.

She's an odd one, that cat.

Needing to get into shape for his job, Nathan comes home after work most days and swims.

Zoe: Mom, can I get some chips?
Katherine: No. I'll make something to eat when we get home.
Zoe: *harumph*

Must. Get. Her. In. Legacy!

Zoe: Mom wouldn't let me get any chips.
Nathan: She made pancakes for us when you two came back, didn't she?
Zoe: Yeah, but-
Nathan: No buts. Now finish your pancakes like a good girl. One day you'll appreciate all your mother's hard work making healthy meals and not filling us with junk.

Zoe admires the figure that she likely would not have if it wasn't for her mother's cooking.

Like her parents, Zoe loves the bass.

And with another transition comes another room makeover.

When he's not in the mood to swim, Nathan uses the exercise bike of doom.

Fried Koi fish, anyone?

New living room set.

Zoe chats up Ricky Cormier.

Which leads to a date and a first kiss at the roller rink.

Klebsiella and Strep were there too.

The next night the two go dancing at the local hobby lot. Zoe pretends that her father is not dancing in front of them.
And to end this:
