Picspam - Contrast and Compare - Juno and Ghost World
For the current
picspammy challenge.
(If anyone's here for the Wonderfalls picspams, they will resume shortly, I promise!)

Juno and Ghost World are both films about a dark-haired, high school age girl who could be described as quirky, unconventional, or idiosyncratic.

Each girl is rendered in cartoon format at one time or another.

Each girl has a lighter-haired best friend and a supportive, balding dad, with no biomom in sight.

Each girl likes to talk on her phone (which is more than just a standard phone), sometimes to her bff (and later to her older man, but no pics of that, sorry!).

Each girl visits a convenience store on occasion, and encounters a surly clerk.

Each encounters signage, wears something ridiculous on her face, makes faces in the mirror, and gives the finger.

Each girl's plot is set into motion because she answers a newspaper ad (okay, technically the PennySaver in one case).

This plot leads each girl to meet an older man.

Each bonds with said man over music.

Each older man has a more appropriate woman in his life in whom he has very little interest.

Instead, each man pursues the girl, somewhat inappropriately.

Each girl tells someone off in a fit of anger (but later makes amends) and has a single moment of breakdown.

But by the end of the film, each girl is on her way to better place.

These pictures can be used for anything; I'm not too fussy. No credit needed. And if you do more than just crop it, I would actually prefer that you don't credit me. I just hope you enjoyed.
