I'm not trying to develop anything here, this service and feature should already work. I'm just trying to deploy the thing to staging. Never touched it before this week. So either there is some .config issue on my part or the security certs are messed up. I have no clue if this thing talks to STS or not, but it really doesn't look like it does.Matt– Matt2012-05-25 15:28:20 +00:00Commented May 25, 2012 at 15:28

I have posted an update to my above response by suggesting a network monitoring approach. Hope it helps.Supriyo SB Chatterjee– Supriyo SB Chatterjee2012-05-25 16:37:17 +00:00Commented May 25, 2012 at 16:37

if I go to the service URL it has no problem - IE just says it takes 250 ms to get the page. It doesn't say anything in the Network Traffic tool about the security aspect.Matt– Matt2012-05-25 18:14:08 +00:00Commented May 25, 2012 at 18:14

I'm going to upvote your answer because I think you put out some good information, although this did not solve my problem.Matt– Matt2012-10-16 16:04:01 +00:00Commented Oct 16, 2012 at 16:04

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. sharepoint-online), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
