Being a community development professor, a former Dean of the Faculty of Social Administration as well as the School of Development Studies, Puey Ungphakorn, Thammasat University and a development practitioner for 44 years, Dr. Jitti has been invited/appointed to join many development organizations in Thailand (governmental, non-governmental, state enterprise or public) as an advisor and/or executive board member. These organizations include the Land Bank Administration Institute, Community Organization Development Institute, Thailand Health Promotion Fund, National Health Security Office, Civil Society Organization Promotion Committee under the umbrella of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the North-eastern Development Foundation. In addition, he has conducted several evaluation/study projects on land settlement, housing projects, development agencies’ performance, and action research on how to promote people’s participation in city management as well as community empowerment to achieve sustainable development goals. He has also been involved in many rural, regional bilateral, international development projects implemented in Thailand and neighbouring countries.
