I am reaching out to share exciting updates for the Marina Improvement & Remediation Project.
Current Updates
- Permit applications to State and Federal agencies have been submitted
- Design teams are on track to finalize construction documents by mid-2026
- The San Francisco Planning Department has prepared an addendum to the Final Environmental Impact Report (Final EIR) for the project. Addendum is available at: http://www.sfplanning.org/sfceqadocs
Upcoming Public Touchpoints
- Presentation to the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) Design Review Board on 4/6/2026 at 5 pm at Metro Center, 375 Beale Street.
- Presentation of the project for final approval to our Recreation and Park Commission in April.
- First at Recreation and Park Capital Committee on April 8 at 2:00pm (in City Hall, room 416)
- And, lastly at the Recreation and Park Commission Meeting on April 16th at 10:00am (in City Hall, room 416).
Public comment can be made at the meetings or can also be submitted via email to recpark.commission@sfgov.org.
Additionally, the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) is planning a public comment period for the Draft Remedial Action Plan this spring. The public comment period will be announced to the community by the Water Board via mail and email.
