Sheila Kelley’s S Factor Summer Workshops
For those of you who just cannot fathom going without the ‘S’ for two weeks (we feel you… you’re not the only ones), we’ve got some spectacular summer workshops planned at both the Encino and Orange County studios. We’ve made it easy for you to get your ‘S’ on, focus on some specific areas, and be primed and prepped for the start of the ‘Body Heat’ session. Our specialty classes include “Pure S”, “Lapdance", "S Factor Strips", and various Pole Classes for Levels 2-6. Our Summer workshops will take place June 20th - July 2nd at our gorgeous Encino studio, located at Plaza del Oro, 17523 Ventura Blvd., Encino, CA 91316 (Tel: 818.817.4585), as well as our sunny OC Studio, located at 2790 Harbor Blvd., Suite 210, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 (Tel: 714.434.4991). Current students from any of our studios or brand newbies are welcome to attend. Classes will be offered on both weekdays and weekends. Click here to see the Encino schedule and register, and here

I’m Teaching Some Intros!
I’ll be leading two Intros coming up in July... really early July. Given the fact that I’m traveling all over the country these days, I hardly ever get to teach Intros anymore... and they are my favorite! There will be one in the Los Angeles studio on Saturday, July 8th at 6:30 pm, and in Encino, Friday, July 7th at 6 pm. If you have not yet given our fabulous ‘S’ a try or if you have some hold-out friends, send them on over to me and we’ll be swinging from the rafters (really poles) in no time.
You can register online or call the studios (LA: 323.965.9685, Encino: 818.817.4585) to book a spot. I can’t wait to meet all your friends, coworkers, family and the other fantastic females in your life!
The Buzz
We’ve got a great piece that aired this weekend on Court TV’s “Hollywood Heat” program, featuring our fab NY instructors showing exactly why the S Factor is the hottest workout around. It premiered Thursday, June 15th at 11 pm and aired again on Friday at 6 pm, Saturday at 11 pm and Sunday at 4 pm. Hopefully, you ladies were able to catch it.
We also had an article in the Summer 2006 issue of Ocean Magazine, so check it out if you have a chance. In addition, you can still click
here to see clips from our appearance on E! Entertainment’s The Chelsea Handler Show and here for the cool article we have on Swagtime.com.
This Week at the LA Studio
Level 1: You’re basking in the sun on the steamy coast of the Baja Peninsula. Waves lapping at your feet with a frothy, blended margarita in hand. The wondrous sound of chatter in a foreign tongue, the hazy heated background and someone you love frolicking in the waves.
Luscious!
Level 2:
Coasting down Wyoming’s Snake River, giving your nature girl a new kind of natural high. You’ve got the femininity-honoring Tetons in the background, fresh breezes keeping you cool and a bevy of gal pals riding the rapids with you.
Level 3:
Relaxing on the beaches of Hawaii, toes dug deep into the sand and succulent pineapple quenching your thirst. Snorkeling, swimming in the beautiful turquoise waters and surfing the incredible waves. Taking in a night of hula dancing or a helicopter trip to get a taste of the uniqueness of the romantic islands.
Level 4:
Walking through the streets of London, taking in all the hip fashion and vibrant culture with every step. Stopping at a pub for a pint of Guinness and some Shepherd’s Pie. Visiting the National Gallery for a dose of Picasso, Monet, Degas and other gorgeous Impressionist paintings and riding a double-decker through the city to see the myriad historical landmarks such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and Parliament.
Level 5-7:
Driving a rented car through the lush, verdant, winding hills of Tuscany. Romantic dinners and beautiful scenery every step of the way. Gelato and little villas give you the quaint feel of Old Italy.
Gentle Splendor: A luxurious, relaxing visit to a four-star spa with a little golfing, tennis or racquetball to keep the blood flowing. Stretching out poolside while iced tea and light lunches are brought directly to you. Book a massage, facial, mud wrap or salt scrub to indulge the goddess inside.
Meanderings
I’m off to New York City to frolic in the waves of yellow cabs, Central Park and the nothing-like-it-surreal-feel of summer in the magnificent city. I’m going to stop off at the S Factor studio in Chelsea for a couple of days of hanging with the teachers - love those gals - and a big fat Open House for Father’s Day. Then I’m thinking of driving out to Bridgehampton to visit our little gem of a studio in the beach communities before heading over to the very tip of the world… well, it feels like it anyway… Montauk, where I like to hang out at the lighthouse and then go on over to the wharf and grab some fresh shrimp and lobster rolls. Then, if all is right in the world, I will head down to Houston to really see what Texas is all about. Spend some time with Rod Ryan and his band of do-gooders. I say do-gooders because it’s pretty much Rod and his cohorts who got us down to Texas in the first place. And that is a damned good deed he has done for you Houston gals. For those that don’t live in Texas, Rod is an awesome radio show host for “The Buzz” KTBZ-FM.
After Houston, I’m off to see my Mom and Dad for a week of Pennsylvania and all the goodness it has to offer, green beyond green forests and hillsides, cool mountain creeks and the mall… oh yes, the Westmoreland Mall… the mall of all malls, sometimes known as “The mall that ate America”. Not that I love this mall, but given that, all through high school I was basically raised at the mall, I must visit this old friend once again. The good news is that I hear they have a Starbucks and Barnes and Nobles now. I’m good to go. Then it’s back to LA, where I get to see my girls and meet my 16 new Level 1s. Can’t wait to welcome you into all the wonders that is this fantastic community of women at the S Factor. We are in for a wild ride together, ladies.
