This was the weakest Despicable Me film by far, unfortunately. The minions were underutilized and didn't appear much in the movie other than in short gags. I had a lot of unanswered questions after the film ended since a lot of plot points were not wrapped up well. Some of the jokes felt like they were trying a little too hard to be relevant and modern. Overall, it lacked the charm and heart of the previous three movies.
