Most of these criticisms are brainless. Three major characters died in the finale (" no major deaths"?).

Why was Gen V in it? / why did Gen V play such a small role?- that was the payoff for Gen V. They had like MAYBE 4 minutes of screen time get over it. And oh no they showed soldier boy and his crew in earlier episodes, how dare they! News flash they did that previously in season 3 as well.

The battle wasn't epic enough - not sure what people were expecting here. It was exactly what it needed to be and it was an actual fight sequence instead of just a bunch of stuff getting destroyed, which is preferable in my opinion. The one thing I will say about it is I kind of would have liked to see Annie in the fight against Homelander. But it really was supposed to be all about Butcher versus Homelander ultimately.

Otherwise if you have a problem with things like character development and plot and don't like the "pacing" in shows like this then you should really just watch the first and last shows of the season to begin with. Just not sure what people were expecting if they're not satisfied with this finale.

When I watched the in-between season documentary and see the show runner brags about how they travel to far off places and spend weeks building and filming one scene I knew this show was in trouble.
