She's been performing for over two decades now but how tall is Ellen Page? The Canadian actress made her debut with 1997's historical TV movie Pit Pony, which was later spun-off into a TV series of the same name that lasted for two seasons. Following the end of the show, Page jumped between TV movies like I Downloaded A Ghost, sci-fi show ReGenesis and appearing in a few episodes of Trailer Park Boys.
Ellen Page broke through with 2005 thriller Hard Candy, where she plays a teenage vigilante interrogating Patrick Wilson's character, who she suspects of being a predator. The movie's intense performances and disturbing themes made it a cult success, and the actress was soon cast as Kitty Pryde - AKA Shadowcat - in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. Page's stardom was cemented thanks to 2007's Juno, where she plays the sardonic title character. Page's great performance and the film's witty script saw it become a major success, grossing over $230 million worldwide. In 2007 Page also starred in the disturning, real-life thriller An American Crime and 2008 comedy Smart People alongside Dennis Quaid.
In 2009 Ellen Page led the cast of Drew Barrymore's sports comedy Whip It, and while the movie wasn't a big hit it did attract great reviews. In 2010 she won more praise as twisted, wannabe superhero Libby in James Gunn's dark comedy Super, and was a part of the massive ensemble of Christopher Nolan's dream heist movie Inception, which is still considered one of the filmmaker's best. Page stands at 5ft 1, and points fun at her height on her own Twitter bio, stating plainly "I am a tiny Canadian."
Ellen Page followed up Inception with guest appearances on shows like Family Guy and films such as The East with Alexander Skarsgård. In 2013 she co-starred with Willem Dafoe in the ambitious video game Beyond: Two Souls, which received good reviews for its performances but not so much for its storyline. In 2014 she returned as Shadowcat for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, where she plays a major part. The actress has largely eschewed blockbuster projects in the years since and instead focused on smaller stories such as the moving drama Freeheld with Julianne Moore and Into The Forest with Evan Rachel Wood.
In 2017 Ellen Page starred in and produced Irish horror movie The Cured, where people cured of a zombie-like virus have a hard time reintegrating into society; she also played the lead in 2017's poorly-received Flatliners remake. Since 2019 she's played Vanya in Netflix's well-received adaptation of superhero comic The Umbrella Academy and Shawna Hawkins in miniseries sequel Tales Of The City. In 2019 Page also directed the documentary There's Something In The Water with Ian Daniel, which explored the topic of environmental racism in Nova Scotia.
