Special Containment Procedures: All entrances to the Site-314 basement complex are sealed with concrete (inspected on a monthly basis). Chemical exposure warnings are posted throughout the property. Intruders do not require detention unless they attempt to enter the basement complex.
No interaction with SCP-L200 is permitted outside of repairs. No repairs shall be made unless new dents are noted during remote inspection.
Description: SCP-L200 is an iron door in the basement of the Lozovac Aluminum Factory,1 which was purchased by a Foundation front company in 1986. No records describe its installation or purpose. SCP-L200 underwent varying degrees of wear, maintenance, and modification prior to containment, including:
- Pervasive rust despite layers of paint and sealant
- Industrial welding between door and frame
- Panel welded to front surface (presumed to cover keyhole)
- Handle sawed off
- ████████████████████████████████████
- Clusters of convex dents protruding 1-4 cm
- Hazard warnings (stencils, faded)
The peephole installed in SCP-L200 is shuttered from inside and was never found open in the period where direct inspections were authorized.2 Attempts to bypass SCP-L200 through ground-penetrating radar and acoustic mapping proved unsuccessful aside from outlining a cavity that measures approximately 40m3.
All interactions with SCP-L200 cause fluid discharge through flawed welds at its base, the composition of which has yet to be determined. This fluid is mildly caustic and corrodes most materials on contact, posing storage and disposal challenges. Exposed personnel (28 to date) have reported dreams about regurgitating a metal handle they know to have swallowed hours before. All are able to describe the process in fine detail after waking, including individual muscle movements, esophageal punctures, and broken teeth. 11 personnel reported sensations of a large object trapped inside their stomach for several months afterwards.
Foundation surgeons have extracted three handles matching other elements of SCP-L200. EEUR Containment Policy forbids re-attachment.
