Join study leaders Mark Varien and Ronald Wadsworth in learning about the Central Mesa Verde Region and the specific sites that will be the focus of our May 18th member field trip. In an overview of the educational contents of the trip, we will trace the story of the region across time, from its origins with the first hunter-gather communities to settle in the area (approx. 9,000 – 5,000 BCE) to the cliff dwelling communities that have made it famous (approx. 1300 CE). |
