Sara R. Yazdani is an associate professor of art history and art theory at the Department of Art and Craft at Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
Her work is published in Art Journal, Afterimage, Flash Art, Artforum International, Mousse Magazine, Kunstkritikk, Art & Education, Objektiv, and a number of anthologies and exhibition catalogues on modern and contemporary art.
Yazdani’s fields of research and teaching are modern and contemporary art with a particular focus on ecology, the relationship between art, media, technologies, theories of the Anthropocene, and process philosophy. She is currently completing her first monograph, Self-Sufficient Images, a critical history of Wolfgang Tillmans’s oeuvre, and the reemergence of an ecological approach to the visual art.
