Takumi's Birthday Fic

It's been 3 months since Saitou Takumi left his hometown, Japan. Leaving his jobs, leaving his family, leaving his friends and his precious someone. Even though he knew he couldn't be like this forever, he wanted to relax and forgot about anything that he could recall if he still at Japan. After travelling around the world, finally he found a suitable place. Then he decided to stay there, at Bali. Many Japanese and foreign people stay at this island. It's so beautiful and refreshing. Some people said that problems will vanish if you stay there.

It's 22nd August in the morning. The Oshitari actor woke up lazily. His tears rolled down his cheek. Don't know why. Maybe he had a nightmare which he couldn't remember anymore. Knowing that he couldn't sleep again, he decided that he need some fresh morning... bath.

After he finished bathing, someone knocked his apartment door. He went to the door only on his bathrobe. He opened the door and found a girl who brought a box gasping.

"Yes?"

"Ah.. eh.." the girl squirmed. "You are Saitou Takumi, aren't you?" Takumi nodded. Eventhough Saitou Takumi was an infamous actor at Japan, many people at Bali didn't know him. "There's a packet for you." the girl continued as she passed the box to him.

"Then sign here," she gave a pen and a piece of paper to him. "Thank you and have a nice day," she smiled and went away after Takumi signed.

He went to his kitchen after he closed the door and put the box on the top of refrigerator. He opened the refrigerator and took a bottle of orange juice. He went to the living-room and turned the television on as he drank the orange juice. The television broadcasted news in Indonesia language. He didn't understand. So he decided to open the box while the television was on.

It was from Hyotei casts. On the top of the box was written Happy birthday, Saitou Takumi. He was surprised. He totally forgot about his birthday. Back from his surprise, he opened the box. There were a lot of stuff in the box. From Katou Kazuki, Takuya, Kamakari Kenta and Date Kouji but there was nothing from him! He sighed.

He grabbed a pack of sunblock bottles and read the note. The sunblock bottles were from Katou Kazuki, the actor who played as Atobe Keigo in Tenimyu. The note was written by Kazuki himself. It said, I heard that Bali is so hot that you can burn your skin. I think you will need these or you will have your skin burned! Have a nice birthday. Takumi almost laughed after he read his friend's note. That was the usual Kazuki. He always takes care about his appearance.

Takumi took another present. A pair of SANDALS! It's from Takuya. His note said, You need this if you go to the beach. I heard Bali's beach is really cool! You should go there. Jya, see you soon~ He then smiled. A pair of SANDALS for a birthday present?! What was on the Jiroh actor's mind?!

Next, there was a cap from Kamakari Kenta. The Shishido actor was a cap collector. Everytime you see him, he will have a different cap on his head. He always bought the caps till there's no space to keep them in his room. His note said, I know Bali is extremely hot. You should wear this. Actually a cap can make you more handsome like me~ (^o^)v Come back as soon as possible. We miss you. More laughs came out from Takumi. His friends were good comedians. He stopped laughing soon after and took the last present.

The last present was from Date Kouji. The Ootori actor gave him a CD. There was a note which said, Hope you can be happier after seeing this VCD. Come back soon. We really miss you... That made Takumi frown. Thanks to his curiosity, he played the VCD on his VCD player.

Date Kouji's face appeared on the screen.

"Test!" he started. "Etoh.. Takumi-san, happy birthday, " he smiled. "I know this vcd will get you confused. But I think this will change your mind and come back to Japan." He stopped for a while. His face looked mourning.

"Oi, Kouji! Keep talking!" heard Kenta's voice in the recording. It seemed KenKen was the who recorded this film.

"Ah.. hai.. etoh.." Kouji scratched his cheek. "J-jya... Enjoy..." he smiled unwillingly.

Kouji's face disappeared from the screen and changed to someone's face that Takumi missed very much.

"Takumi..." Takumi gasped. His hand covered his mouth unconsciously. His heart was hurt so much that he thought he couldn't breathe. The voice of Gakuto actor who appeared on the screen was heard. His voice was so weak but had a high pressure on it. "First, I want to say happy birthday, Takumi dear." Aoyagi Ruito smiled weakly. He looked pale. "If you watch this film that means I'm not with you on your birthday. I'm sorry that I can't give you anything for a present." he stopped for a moment then continued, "I'm very glad when your result came. You didn't have the same disease as me eventhough we already did that." A slight flush coloured his cheek.

"You make my heart be at peace when I was with you. You gave me good reasons so that I could live longer. You gave me a pleasure of love and wonderful memories. I'm so happy to meet you, to know you, to be... with you..." It seemed he held his tears.

"I know you'll have a great mourning if I leave you. I don't want to leave you. I... I want to be with you longer. But it seems God has a different plan. It's all my fault. You don't have to blame yourself or God or anyone else. I know this is a punishment from God to me because..." he couldn’t hold his tears. "The... the truth is..." he continued as he sobbed, "before I met you, I know that I already have this disease. I lied to you for my happiness. I... I lied to you for... for my own lust... my own passion. I..." he erased his tears with his hand.

"In this 2 years, I think I knew a lot about you. If something bad happened, you always solves it yourself. You don't want anyone to help you. You don't want anyone know about your problems. You always go abroad to run away from your problems. Maybe there is noone who notices that. But I always watch you... understand you... that’s why I could notice that... because I am always here, right by your side..." he sniffed.

"I don't know where you are now. But I know you are not at Japan. Go back now! The hide-and-seek is over. You have a lot of things to do... Your family, your friends, your fans... they are waiting for you at Japan. You must not neglect them... So, please... Come back to your place... your right place..." he cried uncontrollably. His shoulder was shaking.

"Good bye, Takumi... Take care yourself... and please... j-just forget me and find a new date... Jya..." before the film shut down automatically, Rui gave his best smile on his pale face that Takumi had not see ever since he left him.

Takumi couldn't move. He felt that his heart was stabbed by many knives. He felt himself trembling quickly. His eyes blurred. 

Rui... he called his beloved in his heart. Rui... What should I do? I... I just want to be with you... Right beside you... There's noone else could replace you in my heart... His hand covered his hand. His tears couldn't be held anymore. "Rui... Rui... RUITO!!!!"

Every Saturday evening Hyotei cast always went together to have dinner at Swallowtail Cafe. But today, the casts were not complete since Takumi's journey and Rui's death. Both of Kabaji's actor and Hiyoshi's actor were not there too. It seemed they had a lot of work to do. So, there was only Kazuki, Takuya, KenKen and Kouji.

"It's already 3 months since Rui's death and 4 days since Takumi-san's birthday," Kouji started. He sat beside KenKen. "What would he do after he received Rui's last recording?"

"Don't worry, Kouji," KenKen's hand circled the younger boy's shoulder and got closer to his. "He is not someone who could kill himself after watched that recording."

"But I felt sorry for them," Kouji was about to cry. KenKen patted the latter's head.

"I think you did a great job," said Takuya while sipping his cappuccino. He sat in front of them while kazuki was beside him. "You still accompanied Rui when you knew he was infected the HIV virus."

"But..."

"ARGH!! Let's stop this mourning!" said Kazuki with a little harsh tone. "That's Takumi's problem which he must handle alone!" Other boys kept silence. "Oh, come on!" Kazuki rolled his eyes. "Let's order something! I am already hungry!"

When he was about to call a waiter, he saw a familiar silhouette opening the cafe's door. He was stunned.

"What's up, Kazuki?" Takuya and the others followed Kazuki's gaze.

"Ta-Takumi?" KenKen was the one who talked first.

"Hi all," Takumi smiled. "I know you must be here today. Long time no see, eh?" he took a chair and sat on a corner of the table, between KenKen and Kazuki.


"Are you really Saitou Takumi?" Takuya rubbed his eyes. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Takumi laughed. "Of course, Takuya. I am Saitou Takumi, the one you gave a pair of sandals for a birthday present. I wore them. It's quite nice."

"SAITOU TAKUMI?!! THE REAL ONE?!" Kazuki stood up.

"YEAH, KAZUKI!!" Takumi stood up too. Then they laughed and hugged each other.

"My God! Finally you're home! How about Bali?" Kazuki released his hug.

"It's a paradise," he smiled. "Hi, KenKen," Takumi hug KenKen.

"T! You made us worry, you know!" KenKen pouted in Takumi's embrace.

"Hahaha! My bad," he laughed as he released his embrace. "Hi, Takuya," he came to Takuya and gave him a hug too.

"TAKUMI!!" Takuya shouted happily.

Then Takumi approached Kouji. Kouji sobbed. "Ta-Takumi-san..."

Takumi smiled. He gave a look to KenKen as a permission to give Kouji hug. KenKen smiled. Then Takumi hug Kouji and whispered, "I'm home, Kouji. Sorry and thank you for everything." Kouji nodded.

"Jya, let's have a party!" Kazuki broke this touchy reunion. "Saitou Takumi is back! Welcome home, Dude!" he smiled while patting Takumi's back. "Cheers!" Everyone toasted their glasses and laughed. They had a full-night party.

Yeah... We won't forget about you, Rui... Not me.. Not us... You will always have a place in my heart...

A/N: Finally... It's already 2 years since my last fic was written. This is also my first angsty fic and SaiRui fic.
RUI!! Sorry for making you die.. >.< To Takumi and Rui's fans, please don't kill me! I know this fic will make you mad.. But I can't help it.. I couldn't sleep when I had an idea to write a Takumi birthday fic. 
The idea came from a J-Dorama called Kami-sama, Mou sukishi dake starring Takeshi Kaneshiro and Kyoko Fukada. It's an old film but it touched me. 
Anyway, thanks to aquatix and rions who beta-ed this fic. Love you, girls~ and hinoai. I was confused to name the cafe and I read her blog of Swallowtail Cafe.  *sigh*  why there's no cafe like that at Jakarta?
Actually I prefer DateKama than KamaDate. But I can't write it! Maybe because I like ShishiTori better than ToriShishi.. ^^;;
