This might be gross, but I dump it in the shower in the morning. The whole process is way cleaner that way, and no public-bathroom squelching. It doesn't overflow in 24 hours (for me, at least).

That's exactly what my SO says. She recommends not using it if you're going to have to take it out in a public bathroom for the first few times. Practice at home first!
