Central Characters
Please excuse the fact that I have to draw in MSpaint. It is, however, the best I can do in these circumstances, since I figure it's better bad than nothing, eh?
MAIN CHARACTERS:
R-16:
Grand General Rurniel.
Rurniel is tactless, direct, confident, and clinging to his childhood innocence with his bare teeth. With no memory of his life before two years ago when he woke up on a bloody operating table, he is obsessively protective of both his base (Zisoro) and his Commmanders. As time goes on, he grows up, just like any kid, hence the second picture of him.
Commander Aptsan
Aptsan is a Ndhaz, if you can't tell. A flirty, charming, petty, handsome man, he knows what he wants and how to get it. Of course, he's quite playful as well, and a good friend. And he's also hopelessly in love with Reed, even though he wouldn't admit it until he's dead or Reed admits first. He's also the oldest of the R-16 bunch, at 54, although it's the equivalent of 25 in human years.
Commander Tyler "Ghost" Reed
Reed, fully human, was the infamous guerilla leader from the Alliance's conquest of the tiny backwater planet of Ikop. He is quiet, enigmatic, polite, and very dangerous, with a horrible sense of humor and unstoppable devotion to both Rurniel and Aptsan. He's also the cautious one. He looks before he leaps, but when he leaps, he REALLY leaps. And he has a jelous side, which is part protective streak, part posessiveness, since he's madly in love with Aptsan but doesn't really admit it even to himself.
ALLIANCE:
General Rann Sul
Sul, commonly called the "wolf of the Alliance", is absolutely ruthless, cold and efficient. He is also, to the amazement of most everyone who meets him, painfully shy. He is, however, rather aristocratic, with random bursts of chivalry towards women that he finds rather perplexing, and is used to getting his way, especially since those that try to stop him usually end up very, very dead.
Special Unit Wrey Cross
Wrey Cross is an approachable, sarcastic, coarse, self-aware young man. As a Special Unit, he is a government owned and trained assassin for the Alliance. He is accepting of most things in the world, has a dangerous knack for seeing the truth, and an even more dangerous one of finding out what he doesn't know. He lives fast, since he's entirely aware that he's already passed the life expectancy of most SU. He also has a gigantic crush on Rann Sul, and lets the man know it.
Vice-General Beatrix Talos
A calculating, eerily calm woman with an aptitude for both paperwork and political intrigue, as well as a quick trigger finger. Her nearly nonexistent temper is downright lethal when unleashed. She is also well aware of the subtle protection Sul and Korialis give her, but chooses to ignore it, repaying them both by keeping and guarding their secrets.
Vice-General And Korialis
Korialis is, first and foremost, a crossdresser. Her full name is Andrea Korialis, but dresses, acts, and lives as a man. She/He is abrupt, friendly, spunky, and fierce, and violently protective of Talos. She/He also has a fondness for big guns and heavy artillery, and is an expert mechanic.
CIVILIAN:

Grand General Rurniel's secretary. Turned Wired (nervous system only, however) to try and find her little brother. A disillusioned 28-year-old with little to nothing left to lose. She is intelligent, dispassionate, and cool to all but Rurniel and his commanders.
