Superman has returned
You know how when Batman Begins came out and everybody was so impressed and amazed and thought it was the best ever? Well I didn't really get it; I'm not a huge Batman fan. I liked the first two with Michael Keaton much better.
I now understand.
See, I went to see a little movie called Superman Returns, which I have waited for since the first mention of a new Superman movie. I was blown away. It was enthralling and entertaining. Brandon Routh did such a great job, not only as Superman, but as Clark Kent. You really can see the difference between the characters, even though they are essentially the same person. He definitely has some Christopher Reeve moments. This doesn't mean I understand the hype about Batman Begins any better, I merely understand how all of those people felt. Superman is by far my favorite superhero and will continue to be, I just hope they don't destroy it with tons of sequels or anything.
Speaking of sequels, the new Spiderman looks good with Venom in it. And Topher Grace to boot, wheee!!
I'm already going back to see Superman Returns on Tuesday with a few people, so if anyone wants to come, give me a call on Tuesday. It's at the Capitol Theatre on the Westside though, because I boycott Famous Players, wheee!
