And So It Begins
Quietly sitting across from the entrance of the healing house, Celeborn deep in thought, tried to think of something to say the one man who was the last person to see his son. He would start off by muttering, "Calaldar.." then suddenly stop while wringing his hands together in frustration. A million things raced around his mind, trying to make sense of it all. To him it wasn't natural to fret over a simple meeting.
Unbeknown to him, he was no longer alone. Celeborn looking up saw Elrond along with Glorfindel and Gildor stand before him as he spoke,
"So it appears that the table has turned and I am in need of your council."
"That it does, but you won't be so hard to convince," Elrond smiled while still showing the effects of the previous evening's drinking, "Come now, he is waiting."
Glorfindel opened the door,
"After you."
As they entered the healing house, some near by servants politely bowed as the remainder kept working. Celeborn froze for a momentarily giving Elrond a quick glance before continuing on.
"Breath Cel, he don't need you passing out on us now." Gildor slightly patting Celeborn on the shoulder.
"Breath. Right." He looked back, "why am I so nervous? I don't recall ever being this nervous in my entire life."
Elrohir quickly remark while standing behind his grandfather,
"Well just think of how nervous you were when you asked for Grandmother's hand."
Celeborn replied,
"I never asked your great-grandfather for her hand. We just married, plain and simple."
"Then this will be the perfect way to stiffen your nerves for when you do reach Valinor, you can finally take that big step." Elladan added sneaking up on his grandfather.
Celeborn chuckled as he cupped the twins chins in his hands,
"Very cute you two." Looks at Elrond, "Definitely you are your mother's sons." He looks around again, "So where do I go now, since everyone has been moved around?"
Gandalf approaches the group,
"Calaldar is over at the far right wall next to the window." Points, "currently talking to Erestor."
He nods then heads towards Calaldar's direction.
"Ah, good morning milord." Erestor greeted, "Calaldar and I have been catching up a little," then turns to Calaldar, "I must take my leave, but I will return later."
"Thank you," Calaldar responded, "It was good to see you again, my friend."
Celeborn nodded again,
"Thank you Erestor."
Erestor made his way towards the group when Celeborn stood there motionless for a minute when Calaldar broke the silence,
"Please milord, sit awhile and talk."
A sigh of relief came across Celeborn's soul,
"Thank you."
Celeborn, than propped Calaldar up with an extra pillow. As they began talking they completely forgot about everyone in the room.
