Look no further than Proven Hands to get a super quality belt. Sure, you can spend less, but that is a perfect example of "false economy". You think you save with a cheaper belt, but you have to replace it before you know it. Go first class the first time. Thanks Dylan!

I've been wearing my Proven Hands belt daily for a little over a year now. You can't beat the quality and the craftsmanship that went in to making these. It's extremely durable and comfortable. It also stays in place while keeping my carpenters pouch right where it needs to be. By far the best belt I've owned!!

About Us

I’m Dylan Strachan, founder of Proven Hands. We’re a small family-run American goods company on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.

Before Proven Hands, I spent over a decade designing and building custom furniture for homes, businesses, and retail spaces. Along the way, I was fortunate to have my work featured by Home Depot, WD-40, Family Handyman, and many other publications.

I started this business because I was tired of how disposable everything was becoming. I was spending most of my days painstakingly creating furniture designed to last generations, while constantly being marketed everyday items that simply didn’t live up to the hype.

My goal is simple: make the best products we can so they can serve people well today, become keepsakes for the people who love them later, and glorify God by stewarding our talents well.

Thanks for being here and supporting what we do. It truly means a lot to our family.

Frequently asked questions

Sizing & Fit

How do I know what size belt to order?

Use our belt sizing guide to find the perfect fit. -> Belt Sizing Guide

We build every belt so that size lands on the center hole, giving you room to adjust in either direction. If you're between sizes, size up.

What if I order the wrong size?

No problem. We have a fit guarantee.

If the fit isn't right, we'll help get you into the correct size. A belt that doesn't fit isn't doing anyone any good.

What if I'm actively losing weight?

If you eventually run out of adjustment holes, send your belt back and we'll resize it for free. We call it our Keep Going Guarantee, and we're happy to support the journey.

Buying With Confidence

Can I really try this belt risk-free?

Yep.

Wear it. Put it to work. Live with it.

If you don't love it within 30 days, send it back for a full refund. You're not taking the risk. We are.

What does the 100-Year Warranty actually cover?

If your belt fails because of a defect in materials or craftsmanship, we'll repair or replace it.

Normal wear, scratches, patina, and the character that comes from years of use aren't defects. They're proof the belt is doing its job.

Do personalized belts qualify for returns?

Belts personalized only on the keeper loop can still be exchanged if a different size is needed.

Belts personalized anywhere else are custom-made specifically for you and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

The Belt

What makes Proven Hands belts different?
  1. First, our belts are truly 100% Made in the USA. That doesn't just mean assembled here. Every component—from the leather to the hardware—is sourced from American farmers, tanneries, manufacturers, and tradespeople. When you buy one of our belts, you're supporting hundreds of hardworking American families and helping keep skilled trades alive.
  2. Second, we use vegetable-tanned leather. It's more expensive, more difficult to get, and far less common than the chemically processed leathers used in many mass-produced belts. The payoff is a belt that stretches less, ages beautifully, develops character over time, and can last for decades.
  3. Finally, we don't believe a premium belt should come in a handful of generic sizes. Every Proven Hands belt is built in 1-inch size increments and backed by our Fit Guarantee, because if you're investing in a belt built to last, it ought to fit right from day one.

That's the difference: better materials, American craftsmanship, and a belt made specifically for you.

Why are your belts more expensive than department store belts?

Because they're built completely differently & backed by unheard of guarantees.

Most department store belts use thinner leather, bonded materials, and plated hardware. We use thick American-made leather, solid brass hardware, and build each belt by hand.

You're not buying something designed to be replaced next year.

Who actually makes these belts?

Most of the time, it's me and my wife, Molly.

We cut the leather, set the hardware, burnish the edges, pack the orders, and answer the emails.

This isn't a factory. It's our family workshop on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.
