My name is Robert Patrick Henri. I'm running for Congress because the people who run the government answer to the people who fund their campaigns, not the people who fund the government. My father named me, in part, after Patrick Henry, who warned that liberty dies the moment rulers can hide what they're doing. That was 1775. Congress still trades stocks on information you'll never see, still writes rules that protect their careers instead of your interests, and still operates behind a wall of exceptions they built for themselves. I'm not the most polished candidate. I'm not the most connected. I'm the one who looked at how the system actually works and decided to say it out loud. I'm running for Congress to make the people who serve the public answer to the public.

They get insider information and make stock trades on that information. Why hasn't anyone been charged? Because they control the enforcement that decides who gets punished.

The Supreme Court should have an enforceable ethics code.
The Supreme Court adopted its own ethics code in 2023 that has no outside enforcement or penalties for violations. The court with the most power has the least accountability.

Congress shouldn’t vote on bills they haven’t read.
Should Congress be allowed to rush laws through before anyone can read them? No. It should be 72 business day hours no matter what — and an additional 48 business day hours for every 200 pages above the first 200 pages, with a “plain language” draft for the public.

District lines should be drawn by independent commissions.
Why aren't they? Because it is legal to map out election wins instead of having a fair contest with appropriate representation.

The Pentagon should pass a clean audit.
Why hasn't it happened? Because no one in Washington has been willing to hold the largest department in the federal government accountable for how it spends your money.
What do these all have in common?
Every one of them has majority support across the political spectrum. These are not partisan issues. They are American issues. Many have been demanded for years, in some cases for decades. And Congress has not passed a single one.

These aren't close calls. These are supermajorities. And they're overdue.

Robert P. Henri has identified 18 reforms with majority support from the American people that cross party lines and should have become law years ago. These 18 are just the beginning in an effort to reclaim a government that works for its citizens. He's not going to Washington to play their game. He's going to push these reforms to a vote and show you exactly who's blocking them and why.
