1. Tunics, Tights, and Well Turned Ankles by thestickywicket - Luke/Lorelai - Luke sends Lorelai a congratulations gift on the opening of the Dragonfly and Lorelai decides to call Luke while enjoying the gift. Lorelai frowned, just a little bit, and she may have sounded the tiniest bit petulant when she said, "You know, I'm having a hard time picturing you drinking grog in tights and a tunic."

2. Happy Anniversary by ladybug218 - Luke/Lorelai – Luke works on a surprise for his and Lorelai’s one year anniversary. It’s a happy, fluffy fic! I love my fluffy fics, especially when they involve baths. She laughed again. “You’re so cute when you try to be dirty,” she said, sinking into the tub and leaning back against him.

3. Playing Florence Nightingale by pathstotread - Luke/Lorelai – I love this story. Drunken Luke, Rory/Lorelai banter, fluffy Luke & Lorelai moments. It does a shipper’s heart good. "It's 'by whom', and yes, Luke. Unless you have another flannel wearing, Oscar-the-Grouch, slightly drunk boyfriend I should know about."

4. I Don’t Know Why Sometimes I Get Frightened by fourteenlines - Luke/Lorelai – Luke and Lorelai’s first date. This is an amazing story, characters that are perfect, full of pop culture references, and quirky banter. "It just is. It's ridiculous! Me and Luke, on a DATE. It has the potential for really bad disaster movie-level disaster. Deep Impact-level disaster. The Towering Inferno-level disaster." Lorelai made a sweeping gesture and knocked her open bottle of foundation over onto her dress. She stared dumbly at the spreading stain.

5. Standing Still by pathstotread - Luke/Lorelai - Luke and Lorelai as they deal with Lorelai's commitment issues. Wonderful guest appearance by Emily Gilmore, which is written so wonderfully. "You without the flannel is the definition of monumental, Luke. I mean, for heaven's sake, who knew those arms were underneath those long sleeved shirts?"

6. We Dance to Sad Songs Too by legalblonde2005 - Luke/Lorelai - Oh wow. This story is beautifully written and angsty and perfect. It follows Luke and Lorelai’s relationship in all its pain and great moments after that first kiss, utilizing their waltz as a metaphor throughout the story. He left her standing in the snow. She'd never been crushed in the snow before, but she felt it this time, cold that flaked around her shoulders and stuck in her boots, that melted and seeped into her clothes until she thought she would never be warm again.

7. With All My Heart by spy_barbie - Luke/Lorelai - Another Luke/Lorelai first date that utilizes some of those fabulous points that Rory made in the finale like, "When you're with Luke, you're with Luke." Most entertaining and well written.

8. Shaking In Her Shoes by aliaspiral - Luke/Lorelai – Lorelai panics before her and Luke’s official first date. Love the Lorelai voice here and her panic mode is so perfectly fitting for her. Her shoes didn’t match. They were a different color blue than her dress. So she shouldn’t open the door. Because non-matching shoes could cause mental trauma or social ostracism or something. Patti would call everyone in town and tell them that Lorelai had lost her fashion sense.

9. Tomorrow by lunarknightz - Luke/Lorelai, Rory/Logan, Rory/Marty – A sweet future fic about the happenings of the Gilmore-Danes family, set around a school play. f you could take a time machine, and go back to that play, when she was stuck dyeing mountains of Santa beards, the Lorelai would laugh hysterically in your face if you told her the future. She simply wouldn’t believe it.

10. Five Things That Never Happened To Lorelai Victoria Gilmore by fairy_tale_echo - This story is sheer brilliance. I love all the little what if’s of Lorelai’s life because they all do change the person we’ve come to know and love. “All right, if you don’t want to do this, say the word and we are out of here like Benjamin Braddock and Elaine Robinson.” Rory’s voice was serious and level.

11. David Caruso Doesn’t Live Here Anymore by callmesandy - Luke/Lorelai – An AU from second season where Lorelai and Luke talk on the phone and then “accidentally” start something. Wonderful voices and my heart ached for poor Luke.

12. Devil On My Shoulder by voleuse - Rory/Logan – A nice look inside Logan’s head in the early days, plus sometimes jealousy is fun. Rory's talking to Dereck. And Justin. And Lowell. And Colin. And Finn, the bastard. She's sitting beside a campfire, laughing and tossing her hair back and smiling, surrounded by a crowd of guys he's known for most of his life. This bothers him more than he would expect.
