SGA-McKay/Sheppard

Stargate: Atlantis
McKay/Sheppard

Obverse by Frostfire--Post-ep for "Hot Zone." Sheppard gets a little caught up in himself. Very believable from his actions in that ep.

“If you’re hiding from Elizabeth, you can find somewhere else,” said Rodney without looking at him. “In fact, I may call her just to get rid of you.”

What You Might Call Obvious by giddygeek--Post-ep for The Lost Boys/The Hive. Seduction through math, and Rodney getting all protective of John's safety.

"Over the next twenty-five years, we could have sex 3900 times," Rodney said, ignoring him, "if we averaged about four times a week, which I certainly could. In that same twenty five years, you'd come close to dying 45 times while I watched helplessly, if you continued averaging about 1.8 times a year, which you almost certainly will--and look how generous I'm being. I'm not even taking into account the number of times you could almost die while I fight to save you. I'm sorry, but in terms of risk assessment, those are just unacceptable numbers, Colonel."

There Has To Be Duct Tape by mmmchelle--Post-ep for "Epiphany." They use the duct tape exactly the way you want them to.

With a tilt of his head, Rodney says, "I can't decide what I should do with you. Should I blow you, or fuck you, or," his fingers glide across John's ribs, "tickle you?"

John tries to squirm away as Rodney's fingers dig into his sides making him laugh. "Rodney!" he protests and Rodney stops.

Pointless by out_there--Rodney tries to impress John. So sweet, in a narcissistic, Rodney way, of course.

At the last minute, self-preservation kicks in and he stops John from going in to solve the Mystery of the Smoking Room. Smoke-inhalation is uncomfortable and bad for his future respiratory health, but if he has to explain this to John, he'll die of embarrassment. Hence, self-preservation.

Don't Say It by Nixa Jane--Aww...poor embarrassed, turned on Rodney.

"So is that your sidearm or are you--"

Rodney immediately slammed his hand over John's mouth, cutting off the rest of the words. He heard them echo in the back of his head, anyway, and gave a mental groan. "Don't say it," he growled, and he could feel Sheppard smile against the palm of his hand.

Shed Your Skin by jenn--Post-ep for Conversion. It's sick how sexy and erotic I find this...molting.

"Shut up." John tries to jerk away, but that's pretty useless; McKay just gets his knees on the bed, giving himself plenty of leverage, gets his other hand under John's jaw, and *holds* him like that. "Interesting. It's coming off in strips, isn't it?" Careful fingers trace the edge of the split, then there's a painless pull, like a scab from healed flesh, and McKay leans back, looking equal parts disgusted and intrigued at the thin strip of blue hanging between two slick fingers. It reminds John of snakeskin, though strictly speaking, it's nothing like it.

Controverted by shalott--I love the last scene of this story. It's perfect.

"Would you please just drop this?" he said, desperate enough to try and be sincere. "I swear I didn't have any reason, and believe me, if you knew my track record, you'd realize that if I had thought I had a reason, that wouldn't have meant anything. I'm sorry. Now can you try and show a little maturity and stop humiliating me?"

Get Back by danvers--Post-ep for "The Hive." Very satisfying conclusion to the episode. gen/friendship.

“Thanks,” John says, pretty sure he had never intended to say it, but there it is anyway. “For trying.”

Rodney straightens up, lifting his chin ever so slightly and looking rather pleased with himself. There he is, Rodney McKay.

The Pegasus Society by Sabine--Post-ep for "The Brotherhood." Rodney and John's relationship through the matriarchal eyes of Atlantis.

John knows that the last time his IQ was tested, it turned out he was far beyond Mensa's cutoff, and in fact could do just about anything he set his mind to and would probably spend a lifetime getting PhD after PhD and being exasperated by his slower peers. He was eight at the time.

Second Time by lamardeuse--High School AU that dovetails into semi-canon towards the end. Very sweet Rodney, and unbelievably sexy John seen through Rodney's eyes.

John walked to the doorway of the kitchen, then turned and gave Rodney a questioning look from under his eyelashes. “Well, come on, genius,” he said, and Rodney should have protested, he should have grabbed his cake and run like hell, he should have taken that Ginsu knife and carried out his plan, but his dick had now staged a coup and his once-formidable intellect was being held in a small, windowless prison without even the hope of intervention from Amnesty International. With all the joy of a condemned prisoner facing execution, Rodney climbed the stairs behind John, his gaze bonded to John’s ass by the Crazy Glue of puberty.

The Education of Rodney McKay by cupidsbow--John leads Rodney in some sexual visualization exercises. Seriously.

"I'm such an idiot! I should have realised," she said, wrapping the sheet around herself like an embarrassed mummy. "The way you look at him! I should have--"

Advantage by Resonant--Rodney has to deal with a very uncomfortable situation.

"Suppose I ordered you to go away," Rodney said four hours later, when Sheppard had taken the dirty dishes back to the mess and fetched a dropped whiteboard marker and eaten way more than his share of khama nuts and made Rodney look really bad in front of Zelenka by pointing out that he'd factored in water pressure on the subaqueous shields twice in different places.

Quest by Waxjism--Protective!John, seen through Ford's eyes as they try to rescue Rodney.

"My father had a slave named Rodney," the boy said. Breathlessly he recited, "He was a very bad slave. He was mean to me. He told me to be quiet even though he was the slave and should be quiet himself. My father had him beaten and sold him to the mines."
